WHO: Darcy Lewis and Tony Stark
WHAT: Darcy and Tony are the type of teenagers who can't sit still for too long
WHEN: Tuesday, September, 25th. Early Afternoon
WHERE: Starting at Joch yn y Tywyllwch
RATING: G to PG, probably
STATUS: In Progress

It was almost ironic how two days ago, the main thing Darcy had wished for was that she wouldn't have to go to school on Monday and now here she was, on an alien planet, where she apparently winds up sometime in the somewhat near future and in a way, she got her wish, because instead of going to school, she was wandering around the city. She had checked out a few of the text books that her older self had and while she'd understood some of it, she was going to stick with not chancing it, because she knew that her older self wouldn't exactly appreciate it if her younger self failed a test or something. After all, based on the link Faith had given her, she suspected that unexplained absences from work and school weren't exactly uncommon here. While it was still a lot to process, it was kind of intriguing as well. She'd taken Faith's advice Saturday morning and looked back through the Network under and had found quite a few posts that her older self had made and it appeared that she had quite a lot of friends, worked at City Hall and was happy here, so that helped Darcy to feel just that little bit safer.

She'd spent the majority of the weekend in the apartment, going through the apartment, which appeared to be in a state of packing, but exactly where her older self was moving to, Darcy didn't know. But now it was Monday and having spent the weekend inside, she needed to get out and get some fresh air and a change of scenery before she went a little insane. So, after searching through her older selves wardrobe and finding something that would fit her at the moment, she headed out and began wandering the city, looking for something to do. She had been wandering around the shopping district when a coffee shop with a very interesting name caught her eye. She stared at the name, Joch yn y Tywyllwch, for a few moments, trying to figure out exactly how to pronounce it, before giving up and going inside.

Tony Stark needed coffee. All of the coffee. He was pretty sure there was a coffee machine in his kitchen, but he was also pretty sure it had tried to bite him when he attempted to pull a shot of espresso. He finally understood what other people must have felt like when he decided to install limited AI in their things without warning them. This might be why they weren't usually as grateful as he felt they should be about it. In any case, he was also given to understand that his grown-up self was pretty loaded, so he had no qualms about borrowing some of his cash to keep himself caffeinated while he worked out the guy's computer system and tried to figure out what his robot army was for.

The first cafe he came across had a name that looked a lot like the Old Norse version of Jock Itch, but it smelled like coffee and chocolate chip cookies, so beggars couldn't be choosers.

Walking up to the counter and seeing no one behind it - but one person standing in front of it - Tony slid up to the counter and alongside the unfamiliar dark-haired girl, regarding her with an appraising glance.

"Are we supposed to order here, or do we just sit down and wait for someone to bother us?" He asked, fiddling with a carton of cigarettes in his front pocket and noting with some degree of confusion that nobody else appeared to be smoking. That was weird. Did that whole thing about carcinogens finally gain some traction?

Darcy glanced over at the guy as he spoke and shrugged, "Not sure actually. I figured that if I stood around long enough, someone would ask if I needed help, but so far bupkis." She noticed him fiddling with the cigarette carton and quirked a brow at him, "Either you're trying to quit and having withdrawals or you're just really close to those cigarettes." As she watched the guy she couldn't help but think that he looked familiar. "Weird question, but what are the odds that I've seen a tiny picture of you on the internet?"

Since waking up in her older selves apartment, Darcy had spent some time searching around on the PDA that had been in her room and had found the Network more confusing then helpful at times. There were so many people on it and everyone seemed to be having problems. And then there was the fact that at the most random time the PDAs would just transmit entire conversations between people without them knowing. While Darcy did find amusement in other peoples' embarrassment at times, it was really annoying when it happened in the middle of the night when she was trying to sleep.
