Who: Peter Petrelli, Bo Hess, and Rachel Pirzad.
What: Meeting in person.
Where: On the streets of Colligo.
When: Afternoon.
Rating: Probably G.
Status: In progress.

Peter was used to the weirdness of Colligo. He'd been there too long to be fazed by it any more and, honestly, most times he enjoyed it. That wasn't to say he loved not being able to see Claire or his nieces and nephew, but he could check in with Dean to make sure at least Claire was all right. It was more than some people had. Besides, he could still see Bo, and that was the most important thing. He'd missed her, and he was glad to have his daughter back in his life. He knew there was every chance that one or the other of them would be sent back home, but he planned to make the most of things and not worry about that possibility. Dwelling on what might happen, at the expense of the life they had, was pointless.

He did, however, worry about the fact that Bo still seemed to think he was going to disappear. He'd learned to trust her dreams, but he didn't see why he would. They weren't from the same reality, and if it were going to happen it would have already, wouldn't it? Hoping to ease Bo's concerns, he'd decided to take her for a walk once she got home from school, counting on the promise of ice cream to make her feel a little better. He wondered if it made him a bad father, using bribery to soothe his daughter's emotional turmoil, but he figured it was what most parents did. Anyway, he took the majority of his parenting cues from Claire, and it seemed like something she and Dean might do.

The pair of them were walking along together, Bo's small hand in his, when he spotted a familiar face. He smiled at the sight of another non-local and gave a little wave once he and Bo were close to her. "Rachel," he said, his tone calm and friendly. "Fancy meeting you here...on the public sidewalk." He paused, ducking his head. "Scratch that. Let's start over. How are you doing?"

Between the city doing all sorts of crazy things, and a fair handful of the nonlocals fighting amongst themselves about everything from the craziness of the city to the deity apparently in charge of it all, Rachel had needed to get out of her apartment, away from work, and simply take an afternoon off. She didn't like fighting, definitely wasn't comfortable with open signs of aggression, and really was growing tired of worrying that, at any given moment, something worse was going to happen to them all. And, with the change in the weather to indicate that fall was well on its way, she had decided a walk was exactly what she needed.

Of course, just because she was wanting some time to herself hardly meant that she minded when she saw Peter and his daughter up ahead. She liked Peter. He was very nice, intelligent, liked helping people, and in no way seemed to judge her for the small quirks she possessed because of her ability. Granted, they hadn't spent any real time together, so she was assuming about some of that and speculating about other parts, but Rachel was also a pretty good judge of character so she was comfortable in her opinion of him until he gave her a reason to think otherwise.

Waving back, her smile was a sincere one, albeit still a touch reserved, as she approached them. She couldn't help but laugh lightly at his comment, tucking her hair behind her ear as she responded simply with, "I don't have any real complaints, I guess." It seemed the nicest way to say "managed to avoid the worst of the drama" without sounding completely selfish. "How are you?"

Then her gaze flickered down to Bo, who was staring solemnly up at her with big eyes that held far too much wisdom for someone so little. Rachel's smile softened a bit as she looked at the girl. "Hello, Bo. I'm Rachel. It's nice to meet you," she said sweetly, taking care not to sound as though she was speaking down to the girl. She'd always hated that, as a child, and something told her Bo wouldn't appreciate it very much either.

A fact that was all but proven when Bo slowly returned a smile back to her, seemed to relax ever so slightly, and responded easily with, "I know. I've seen you on the message board and stuff. Nice to meet you too."
