Christine always took the same path home from work. It concerned her that she was becoming habituated to life in the strange city that was holding her captive, but considering she had been there almost two full months now, it was hard not to settle into a routine, even if they had been the most hectic and odd two months of her life. She walked the familiar path through the park quickly, still off put but the eeriness of it, even though she walked through there every night and nothing bad had happened to her yet, but was distracted when she saw somebody that definitely wasn't a regular. The girl was stunning beautiful and looked a little familiar, and definitely a little bit purposeless. Curiosity getting the better of her, Christine approached the girl.
"Hi," She said, having snuck up on her from behind. Realizing sneaking up on strangers in the middle of the park at night was probably not a good idea, she shuffled around to orient herself in front of the woman so she could properly introduce herself. "I'm Christine," She said, trying to think of something to say. "Do you usually come here?" She asked, even though she knew the answer was no already. She mentally reprimanded herself for being socially awkward before smiling.
