"Achy," Hannah replied automatically as she gave him a small smile. The circles under her eyes weren't as pronounced as they'd been the day before - a sure sign she'd actually managed to get a night of uninterrupted sleep for once since the ordeal had happened - and her color had finally returned to its normal color too. True, she still wasn't quite one hundred percent, but she was feeling much better than she had since the ordeal had happened and knew she had Jonathan to thank for the progress she'd made.
In fact, if it weren't for Jonathan, she knew she wouldn't even be alive.
Glancing over at the coco, her smile grew slightly. "It's a little weird, drinking coco in July, but it really does seem almost needed when there's snow outside," she commented idly before looking back to the man beside her. Studying him for a minute with a look that seemed to almost look through him, as she often did with most everyone she met, Hannah hesitated for a second before finally working up the nerve to say what she'd wanted to say since she'd read up on the comments he'd made to others in his post to the city's message board.
"You referred to me as your daughter," she began, her expression veritably neutral, save for the curiosity that shone in her eyes. "Do you really feel that way?"
Should she have possibly waited to bring it up? Probably. Should she have even waited until he'd mentioned it instead? Quite likely. However, if there was one thing her encounter with Enigma had solidified in her mind, it was that life was short and certainly fleeting. And she wasn't about to put anything off that she could do immediately, now that she really understood just how quickly everything could be over.
