The awkwardness hurt. It really did. Because Coulson was a really nice guy. Very very nice, and might have even been a good kisser, according to some. This was just beyond odd though. He kind of squirmed slightly, trying to pull away completely, though the mistletoe seemed to have other ideas. Yeah, not a good kiss at all. At least not until the damn thing let them go.
He pulled back, quite ashamed face and stammered. "I.. I I'm sorry. I didn't. I don't .. sorry." And then he pretty much scurried off. Because he literally didn't know what to do. All of his training had not prepared him at all for this.
