Shepard laid down her cards, showing nothing more than a busted straight. She looked up at Coulson. "Looks like this one's yours." She'd had a shot at it, but had missed. Still, she didn't care. The point of this, as they both knew, had absolutely nothing to do with cards.
From what Shepard could see? They were probably going to make decent living partners. They were both quiet, seemed the type to be workers, with professional and military backgrounds that were not limited to terrestrial threats. Shepard honestly couldn't have thought of a better room mate. There would likely be little tension of drama, the place would be kept clean, the rent would get paid, and, at the least, they could play cards if they ever got bored.
Shepard collected up the cards and slid the deck over to Coulson. "So, I bet you're the type of guy who gets the 'tell me about yourself' question a lot?" She asked, looking him in the eye. "An I bet you're probably the kind of guy who generally doesn't say much about it." It was a ballsy speculation on her part, but not intended to be rude. "So.." Her voice trailed off. "Tell me about yourself. Skip the parts about work." She poured a topper to her glass before offering him the bottle.
"Any hobbies? Interests? Strange, midnight, cravings I should know about? Favorite books?"
