It really was a funny think to wake up one morning an Alpha after going to bed a Beta but the new memories he had were a mixed bag. He had killed his uncle who really deserved it and was glad he was the one to do it with his own claws but now he owed his life to Stiles but at least a few death threats would make him never mention that again if he ever saw him again. And never would be too soon.

This was going to take some getting used to but it did not seem all that different from before just everything was enhanced and more powerful than before. But it really made him wish he had a pack to get some more power from. Until he could do that type of thing he wouldn't be able to use his full powers as an Alpha.

After finishing up his work in the afternoon Derek decided that he would give his new abilities a bit of a test run by going out into the woods. After taking down a few trees with his new strength which really just felt great to try out his speed.

Getting down on all fours and shifting like he could before he started running as fast as he could just because he could. He smiled to himself as he ran, he totally knew he was born to be an Aphla.

Katniss had taken advantage of the quiet night and chosen to go hunting. She'd managed to get a bow and a decent set of arrows since arriving in Colligo, and still liked going hunting every now and then. It was something she'd trained herself to do, and it was now a part of her.

It was dark at night in the woods, but Katniss prided herself on having pretty decent night vision. She made her way silently through the woods, keeping her eyes peeled for anything that might be out at night that she could hunt.

It was fairly quiet...and then Katniss heard something running towards her. And from the sounds of it, it was a big something. Katniss pulled an arrow out of quiver, knocking it in her bow, and drawing back slightly, but not releasing yet.

Just in case.

	Derek had been so focused on avoiding the trees that he didn't notice the archer. Heightened senses might be really useful be he still was getting used to their new levels. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Okay. Whatever it was coming towards her was not slowing down. And Katniss didn't really feel like getting eaten tonight. She released on her bow, aiming for whatever was running at her's thigh, hoping to slow it down a bit. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Derek only caught notice of the arrow flying towards him and the archer that shot it when it was to do anything. The arrow struck him in the chest and Derek let out an angry roar before he wiped out hard. "What the hell," Derek says clearly angry and still and were form. 	Picking himself off the ground not even taking the arrow out of his chest yet. "You got really lucky with that shot before you wouldn't again though," Derek says. The girl was confident he would definitely give her that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	In a swift effortless motion Derek catches the arrow. "See didn't hit me," Derek says smirking, "So want to rethink that plan." He human features started coming back. (Reply to this) (Parent)
