WHO: Paige Matthews. Open, but can be (very easily be) a narrative if no one comments.
WHAT: Paige muses on her life, her temper, knights and cells. Then decides to get something to eat.
WHEN: Afternoon.
WHERE: The streets of Colligo
RATING: TBD. Though, warning, she's cranky and half-demon ... take that as you will.

This place was interesting. At best. Paige had spent the better part of the week reading up on the comments on the little network that had been created for the other dimensional arrivals. She'd also spent a better part of her week in a holding cell because she had let her temper get the better of her. She didn't like the fact that she couldn't leave this place. She didn't like being man-handled. She was Paige Matthews, there wasn't a place that she couldn't leave. There wasn't a creature that could get the better of her. After all, she was part Halliwell. After all, she had trained herself, had been trained by demons with illusions of grandeur to be the best. Demons who thought if they managed to puppet her that they would get an in with the infamous Charmed Ones. Demons who'd learned the right way soon enough after she got what she wanted from them. Not that she killed all of them. Those of them who listened lived and those of them who continued to bother her ... well, obviously they didn't.

Unlike most half-demons Paige didn't care to be a full and didn't care about the power or proving herself. It hadn't always been that way. In the beginning. It'd been all about proving herself. To the father who was so cowardly, so stupid, that he actually thought he could have tricked Patty and Penny for that long. That would have never discovered that he was a demon. To the mother who gave her up. And the grandmother who had been set in letting her know that she was a creature. The adoptive parents who had to die on her ... just when she was getting used to them. And the idiotic sisters with their so call bond who didn't even know she was out there.

Paige had been into power and destruction and, could have been, consumed by it. She'd been on the precipice. And she hadn't fallen over like the rest. Because Paige had never been and never would be much of a follwer. And because she refused to let anything, even Power, control her. In the end it became about freedom. The freedom to use magic as she wanted, because she had proved to herself that she was better than they thought she was. Not that she was good. No. Good lied with restrictions. Just like evil did. With nothing to prove, yet a mind as black and consuming as all demon's tended to be but still with that pesky Halliwell conscience ... not to mention the memory of the Matthews, she became morally ... damaged. Suited her just fine. Except. When ... she let that temper get the better of her.

Paige sighed as she walked out of bookstore, brushing her hair out of forehead. It wasn't her fault that that stupid little witch had kept claiming to be Chris. Paige might not associate with the Halliwells. But she kept tabs on them. Family did mean something, in a sense. She knew about the older male Chris. Though, now. Thinking about it. She supposed it was possible that what she'd said was true. That there was a world where Chris was female. And Paige was good. Paige pressed fingers at her temples and rubbed. She supposed that she shouldn't have lost her temper but she'd already just been pulled out of the cell when she ran into the little bitch. Not in the best mood to run into someone almost more stubborn than she was. Some yelling and a well-aimed fireball that sadly hadn't hit had apparently pissed off the stupid guards and had landed her in the cell again for another night.

As it was, she currently wasn't in the best mood, as she walked aimelessly down the streets. But she was also currently starving for real food. She was pretty sure she could manage to get something to eat without burning someone. Despite being the one that was half-demon, after all, she'd never been the one with the worse temper. Hm. Paige wondered who else of her "family" was around. Food first. Dramatics later.

Damien Thorn had been noticing some very strange things lately. For one, all the clothes in his room were a bit big on him. Something an older man would wear. Certainly nothing that a thirteen-year-old guy like himself can just put on. And he found a business card with his name on it as the President and CEO of Thorn Industries.. apparently, an older version of him did end up running it. Though he found it odd that his cousin's name wasn't listed on it too. They were supposed to operate it all together.

Another thing he noticed? Actually, it was about a half hour ago. He had just taken a trip to the zoo. Same thing happened there as when he strolled into a pet store. The animals went apeshit whenever he was in the area. Especially baboons. Along with monkeys, tigers, gorillas, parakeets, and the rest. Canines seemed calm around him. Odd, that. It sort of reminded him of when he was six.

So he had left early. He had a feeling that they would throw him out soon. He was getting looks. And rather than have people suspect him, even though he did think of them as pod people, it was probably best that he left before any suspicion could arise. Another setback.. he was still in his cadet uniform. He had to go get some clothes very soon. Ones that he could actually fit into. He supposed he should do that right now. So, he was walking the streets and stopped at the crosswalk at a four-way intersection. He noticed a young woman next to him then, so he looked at her with a polite smile. "Good afternoon, ma'am."

Paige looked down at the young boy, saying nothing for a moment before her brow rose slowly, "Who're you calling 'ma'am'?" She asked. Politeness, she could be as polite as the rest of them if she wanted to be, however, she saw no need to at the moment. And in truth, that question kept her from asking what she'd originally been thinking. 'Afternoon. What was so good about it?'

Could you sense that? Could you? Well, that was Paige feeling cranky. Lowering her brow, giving the kid one last look, she turned her eyes ahead of her, "Good afternoon, kid." See. Polite.

"Well.. I was raised with manners," he said with a calm expression. "But I can use your name instead, if you'd prefer. Mine is Damien." He had a slight feeling that this woman wasn't extremely happy about today. But at least she was polite.

He could be so too. He glanced up then. "It is. But of course, I suppose this light could change a lot faster.." He then noticed that it had turned red. Ahh, finally. But the other light had stayed red too, which would allow them to cross as they pleased. He wondered if that was his doing or not. "Huh, that's odd. Must be a glitch."

"So where a lot of people. That doesn't mean they use it." Paige responded. There was something ... strange about this kid, instinct told her. And her instincts rarely, if ever, let her down. When she properly listened to them. "My name's Paige."

Paige didn't comment on the glitch. Though there was a little voice in her head that comment on how conveniant it was, she simply crossed the street without another word. She only glanced back once at the kid ... Damien.

"Nice to meet you, Paige," he said with a smile. His instincts told him there was something about her as well. But he wasn't clear on what.

He crossed after a moment, stopping briefly at the middle. That'd be a bad accident for him if the light changed. But it didn't for some reason. they were all still red. He called out, as he begun to walk once more, "Oh.. umm, you might want to avoid the zoo, I just came from there. Animals are a bit agitated for some reason."
