WHO: Lucifer & Meg WHAT: Testing the limits of Lucifer's behavior regulations. AKA Fun with the Locals! WHEN: June 3rd; Evening WHERE: The Colligo Streets RATING: R (for physical torture) STATUS: In Progress
Lucifer hadn't realized just how boring behaving could really be until he'd gotten a taste of his old behavior with the arrival of Meg. She wasn't under the same restrictions that he was, and that had allowed her to freedom to put her skills to use. He'd been so proud when he'd first heard Barton's whimpering voice on the network, the delightful sound of labored breathing, the whimpers and incoherent babbling of a figure who had been so wholly broken, the lamentation of a man who was truly wishing for death in that moment. She had done well, and even as he seemed to be trying to cover up what damage she had done with a thin veneer of humor and sanity, it was so clear that she had left a lasting impression, one that that man wouldn't be able to shake for the rest of his days.
And even as delighted it had left Lucifer, it had also made him long for the moments when he was free to do just that, so when Meg suggested testing just how stringent the rules that had been put into place for him were, he was more than happy to give it a shot.
Tracking down locals to spook hadn't been the difficult part. Even late into the night, they seemed to be milling back and forth on the streets without any care about the dangers that could pounce upon them without warning. But all the better for them, really, and as Lucifer slipped in behind an unsuspecting blond co-ed, leaning forward with a smirk on his features and whispered, "Run. Run, and you might make it through the night," and watched with utter delight as she turned, stared at him with wide eyes, and took off, he couldn't help the thrill that leaped in his chest.
