WHO: Matt Murdock and Peter Parker
WHAT: Running into each other while patrolling
WHEN: Sunday, June 3rd; Evening
WHERE: The streets of Colligo
RATING: G, probably
STATUS: In Progress

Matt crouched down on the ledge at the corner of the roof, staring out over the city, unseeing; physically anyway. In actuality, Matt knew everything that was happening below him on the streets. He could hear the cars driving by, smell the exhaust they produced, the various rattling that some of them made as the drove by. Thanks to the sounds they made, Matt was able to get a pretty good picture of what was going on below as those sounds reverbarated off one another, thanks to his sonar sense. Of course it wasn't a clear picture like the one others would see when they looked down at the street below, but it was good enough that if Matt were to cross the street right now, he'd be able to dodge each and ever car that came his way without waiting for the light to allow him to cross.

It had taken some time for Matt to get used to a new city once he'd first arrived in Colligo, but now he knew the entire layout of the city almost as well as he knew Hell's Kitchen back home. Unlike back home, he wasn't the only vigilante or costumed crime fighter in town who patrolled the streets and he was always aware of exactly where they were on a given night and made it a point to stay out of their way unless the situation called for his assistance. Tonight, he was the only one in this part of town; at least he hadn't picked up on anyone else in the vicinity, which was why when he heard a scuffle down below, in the ally between the two buildings, he leapt from his perch, pressing a button on his cane as he went, which shot out a cable that securely grabbed the edge of a fire escape and aided his descent into the ally below.

Ah, rooftops. Peter had found himself missing them a little too much. It was a strange time when the tops of tall buildings were really the only things that made sense anymore. Colligo, was, well, nucking futs. Everything about it seemed that it was there to confuse. From his old crime-fighting friends not knowing who he was anymore to the fact that apparently loonybirds couldn't stay dead. Oh, and Lucifer was hanging around? What was that even about? Without Mary Jane or Aunt May, the point that Peter needed a little familiarity in his life. Which was why he nearly burst with joy when he realized he'd come into this silly place with his Spider-Man costume underneath his clothes and his mask tucked safely into his trouser pocket. Thank Freeman for small favors.

Tonight, he'd decided to put it on again since his first arrival in the city. With all that was happening around him, he figured it couldn't hurt anything - He refused to sit around forever. That just wasn't like him. Never had been, never would be. And as he overheard that familiar sound of general badness coming from down below, Peter knew that he was in the right place. It was showtime. Let's just hope he hadn't lost his touch.

A thwip thwip shot across the night and down streaked red and blue, just in time to save the day. He landed near the commotion quietly, with the help of a little wallcrawling, but that hadn't stopped him from noticing someone doing the same on the other side. Peter squinted through his mask. Well, that just wasn't fair at all.

At least Matt had thought he was alone tonight, but the thwiping sound that he heard shortly before someone else joined him in the alley below, told him otherwise. He wasn't exactly sure who it was just yet, but he was fairly certain it wasn't another thug; mostly because he hadn't come at him yet like the one he'd landed just in front of was about to do. It turned out that the scuffle in the alley was an old fashioned mugging and after Matt and the new arrival had startled the thug, his victim had taken off, seemingly just as frightened as the thug was.

As the guy threw the first punch, Matt dodged it and grabbed the guys wrist, twisting him around and pinning his arm behind his back, "If you're going to just stand there, the least you could do is help." Besides the fact that the new arrival had, seemingly, fallen out of the sky and had yet to move from the spot where he'd landed, Matt hadn't picked up any specifics on him just yet.

Peter had been rendered temporarily stunned. It was one thing to see someone posing as people you knew from your past on the internet, but seeing them in the flesh? Well, needless to say, it was still a little startling. He'd met The Avengers several times already, but his reactions didn't differ much whenever he saw them. Truthfully, he had to keep stopping himself from saying, 'Hey, remember that time -' It wasn't going to sit too well with complete strangers. Well, partial strangers. He knew a good deal about them, but they knew absolutely nothing about him. Talk about Twilight Zone.

When Matt Murdock spoke to him for the first time in Colligo, Peter snapped back to attention. Right. Daredevil's talking to you, dude. Focus up. "Well, I hate to interrupt such a lovely night, but," Peter unleashed a web to the thug's gut, knocking the wind from him. "Look's like you already did that." Not his best line, but the guy was more concerned about the fact that some guy just shot sticky stuff out of his arms than for his life. Normal.

"You two know each other?" Peter asked, folding his arms across his chest. His head tilted and he couldn't help but grin underneath his mask. This whole being the only superhero around with 'secret identity' thing didn't come without its perks.

"Hadn't met before tonight and it wasn't a very good first impression," The guy was struggling in an attempt to get out of the webbing that Peter had shot at him, but he wasn't doing a very good job. It was at that moment that a truck sped past the mouth of the alley, blaring it's horn, which triggered Matt's sonar sense as the sound reverberated through the alley and making it so that Matt could see everything in front of him clearly. Including the owner of the voice a few feet away from him. As it turned out, his instincts had been correct and he was in fact a costumed crime fighter, although Matt wasn't sure which one, "So what do they call you?" The thug was surely confused as to why these two guys in costumes were having a conversation while he was being restrained as he was.

You know, this is off to a better start than the last time we did this cha-cha. I kinda prefer this version already, actually. Peter put his hands on his hips. "They call me ... Spider-Man." He puffed out his chest, as if Matt could actually see him grow in pride, but quickly let out the air when the thug started to snigger. "Yeah, the goon trapped in a guy called Daredevil's arms really has a place to talk." He shot a small patch of web across the guy's mouth. "Can it, tall, dark, and ugly."

Clearly Spider-Man was one of the newer arrivals in Colligo, because Matt was fairly certain that he knew of all of the other costumed crime fighters who had been in the city since before he'd arrived six months ago and now that he knew his code name, Matt was fairly certain that he knew what that sound had been. Webbing. A spider needed webbing after all. Back home in Hell's Kitchen, Matt wouldn't have been so easy to trust anyone else in a costume, but here in Colligo it was common knowledge that most anyone in a costume was one of the good guys and that meant they were trustworthy. There was also the fact that this Spider-Man already knew exactly who he was, which tipped Matt off as to who may have been under the mask; considering the recent conversation he'd had with one of Colligo's newest arrivals over the Network, "You wouldn't happen to want to help me string this bozo up outside the police station, would you?"

Oh yeah. This was definitely going better than the very first time Peter'd butt heads with the legendary Daredevil. The man was very protective of his kitchen. One run-in with he and big ol' Frank Castle was enough to show him why that was. Talk about freaky deaky. Matt, though, he was smarter than the average bear - in just about every way - and something told Peter it wasn't going to take him very long to put two and two together. Especially after their last conversation. "Why, Mr. Devil," he gave a mock bow that only the crook would see. "I thought you'd never ask." He did his best not to laugh as the more awful of the three of them whimpered. "I hope you had a light lunch, buddy. The way we're going, you might lose it."

Matt might not have been able to see Spider-Man bow, but he could hear the movements of his feet on the pavement and the way his suit and joints moved as he bowed. Smirking, Matt held the man tighter as the crook struggled and Matt leaned in close to his ear, "This was not your lucky day." He was glad that Peter was silenced the guy, because Matt didn't really feel like knocking him out. Yet. When the time came, he wanted the guy to be able to yell and attract the police's attention, "There's a light pole just outside the station that makes a pretty nice place to hang them."

A sharp whip of web was expelled from one of his shooters and latched itself against the man's front. Peter nodded his head. "Sounds good. I'm assuming you know the way, what with you being well-acquainted with the light pole." He grinned, too, but unlike Daredevil's, Spider-Man's couldn't be seen. "I'll let you go ahead and lead the way. Being Spider-Man isn't exactly interchangeable with Directions Man. That's all pure instinct." The man wriggled in his webbing, but Peter sighed. "Will you relax? Don't worry, if you're a good boy, we'll stop at a gas station and get you an Icee."

Matt nodded in response to Peter's question as he retrieved his cane from the holster on his hip, "Just follow me," Now most people didn't just go around following blind guys, but it was common knowledge that Matt wasn't your typical blind guy, not to mention, Spider-Man obviously knew him and trusted that he wouldn't run them off the side of a building or anything like that. Raising his cane, he shot the cable towards the roof he'd been occupying before they'd apprehended the thug and was being pulled up towards it within seconds.

Testing the security of the thug - because he wanted to see the man brought to justice, not necessarily in pieces - Peter unleashed webbing directly after Matt. "Hold on tight. This is my first time." He said over his shoulder, and the two were up and at 'em, the man screaming pointlessly his temporary gag. "Madeja look," he quipped, swinging up behind Daredevil. "So, uh, how long have you been here, exactly? I guess it doesn't really matter, considering we're not going anywhere, huh?"

Anyone else would have looked over their shoulder when they heard the guy screaming to see just what Peter was doing, but that would have been pointless for Matt, all things considered. Instead, he smirked as he heard Peter's comments. However, he did turn his head in Peter's direction as the other spoke to him, more to show that he had heard him then anything else, "Since January. It's been an interesting five months."

"That I can believe," Peter practically sighed this. Thwip thwip shot across the night, and two streaks of red moved through the air. In any other town, this might have been considered outrageous, but really, this was Colligo. What wasn't considered normal in this freaky-deaky place? "I hate to sound nostalgic, but it's actually kinda cool to see you out and about again. Again for me, first time for you. One of these days, somebody'll have to create a tense for alternate universes."

Unlike at home, in Hell's Kitchen, Matt didn't necessarily have to hide in the shadows or try and dodge law enforcement, considering most of the employees of the Police Station were non-locals themselves. One of them was even a hero as well, so it wasn't like he was being hunted down for being a Vigilante, which truth be told, he was glad about.

They had landed on the roof of the Police Station just as Peter began to speak again and Matt moved towards where the thug was whimpering as he listened to the kid, "Again? Did I retire in your time?" It was a little strange to think that this kid knew another version of him, but Matt found that he didn't really mind so much. Reaching down, he grabbed the guy by the front of his jacket and hauled him to his feet, "See that light pole right there?" He didn't bother pointing, instead, he kept his attention solely on the thug and he knew that the fact that the guy couldn't see his eyes made the whole thing even more terrifying for him. "You'd better hope someone comes out soon, otherwise you're gonna be hanging there for quite awhile."
