Who: Roy Harper and Helena Bertinelli
What: Patrolling and talking about their future selves
Where: A Rooftop in town
When: Saturday, May 19th. Night
Status: In Progress

Roy’s eyes scanned the street below from his perch on the edge of the roof as he waited for his companion, for the next few hours, to arrive. It had been a few days since everything had gone back to normal or as normal as things ever got in Colligo and he had only spoken to Helena through texts since and they hadn’t really talked about anything that he remembered just like they had never really talked about the last time when Helena had been from the future and had talked about a kid; their kid. He didn’t know why they’d never talked about it, possibly because he didn’t want things to get weird between them when everything was going so well, but now this was the second time that they’d both been their future selves and if this was going to be a thing then they had to talk about it eventually. Besides, Roy wouldn’t have minded so much if things progressed between the two of them a little more. He liked Helena and while he would always have a place for Donna in his heart, he couldn’t just wait around on the off chance that she ever showed up and then there was the possibility that even if she did, she wouldn’t be from the right time. He knew that if he ever said any of that out loud that it’d sound like Helena was a backup plan, but he really did care about her and enjoyed being with her, but he didn’t know exactly how she felt and he knew that the best way to find out was to actually talk to her about it.

Roy knew that his track record with woman wasn’t the greatest, but part of that had to do with how hectic and dangerous the life of a superhero was back home and despite the fact that crazier things happened in Colligo, he actually had to admit that his life had been a lot less hectic since arriving almost a year earlier. While he still patrolled as Red Arrow a few nights a week, he had a steady job at the Police Station, which he enjoyed and even though Lian kept coming and going, he knew that whether she was in Colligo or in Star City he was there for her and that helped. So really, if him and Helena were actually going to give an actual relationship a try, Colligo was the best place to do it, which was why, not matter what happened tonight, he was going to bring up the topics that they had been avoiding for awhile now.

In a few short minutes, Helena landed on the rooftop next to him. The events from the past weeks were still clear in her mind. She couldn't believe that she'd become her future self again...the one that was married to Roy with a kid. It shook her, a little. Helena never really considered herself a relationship person, and while she really cared for Roy, she was kind of glad that he never really asked her to "define" their relationship. What they had worked just fine. Didn't it?

Helena shook it from her mind as approached Roy. "Hey," she said, taking a spot next to him.

At the sound of Helena landing on the roof, Roy turned his head then turned completely and leaned against the ledge, "Well there you are. I was starting to think you'd stood me up." Even after all this time, he couldn't help but let his eyes wander, briefly, over Helena's body in that costume. It was absurd really, considering the fact that he'd seen her out of it just as often as he'd seen her in it, but it wasn't as if she'd get offended. At least he hoped that she didn't. "I bet you're glad it's getting warmer. Less chance of freezing your ass off." He smirked again as his eyes finally met hers. Standing there, watching her, Roy couldn't help but think about what it would be like if instead of meeting on rooftops or at bars at night, they left together from the same apartment. He wondered what Dick or Ollie would think if they were there now. "Ready to get this show on the road?"

Helena smirked at him. "I've gotten so used to wearing it...I really don't freeze that much when it's cold out. I've built an immunity to it." She flezed her fingers, cracking her knuckles. "Yup. Let's get rolling."

"You know, I have to give you credit. I mean, I could never wear something like that without complaining non-stop." Roy already complained on occasion when it came to his costume, what with all the leather and spandex, but something like what Helena wore; yeah, it wasn't happening. "Besides, I don't have the legs for something like that." He smirked and swung his legs over the side of the roof, "Well then lets go." He pushed himself off the side and landed on the fire escape below, knowing that Helena would follow him.
