Celebrating.

Katniss was excited. She and Finnick were able to secure financial backing for their own shop and idea after idea was flowing through Katniss' mind as she walked the relatively short distance between the building and the restaurant where she was meeting Peeta for dinner. Katniss didn't really know how to run her own store but she was confident that between her and Finnick, they could figure it out. Besides, the product was being brought into the store by both herself and Finnick. That was half of the battle right there.

The next battle would be convincing Finnick to wear clothing....or at least swim trunks when he came into the store.

Peeta had his own news to celebrate and Katniss couldn't be more happier for him. Peeta seemed happy in his job and Katniss was happy that he was receiving some recognition for his hard work. It seemed that things were going well here in Colligo and Katniss was finally starting to relax.

Once she arrived at the restaurant, she stood outside as she waited patiently for Peeta.

Peeta had been covered in flour, so he'd had to run home and change into something a bit nicer. He'd also had to pace back and forth a little, getting up the courage to do what he wanted to do tonight.

Yes, yes, he'd done it on live TV once, but that was a little different than doing it for real.

He arrived a few minutes after Katniss, smiling softly at her before she saw him.

Please, no 'episodes' tonight. I want tonight to be just right.

	Katniss' grin grew even bigger as Peeta joined her. She was already in a great mood and seeing Peeta just completed her day. Katniss leaned in, kissing him gently. "I hope this place is okay with you. I've heard good things about it anyway. I thought we could check it out." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Peeta kissed her back, taking her hand and squeezing it.

"If it's where you want to eat, that's perfect for me," he smiled. As if she could do anything wrong in his eyes.

When they were seated, he spent longer than usual looking at the menu, missing her questions on occasion. It was almost as if he were about to have a bad episode, he was so nervous and fidgety.

Katniss squeezed his hand right back with a smile and followed him inside of the restaurant.

Once they were seated and they were looking over the menu, Katniss grew concerned when Peeta seemed to be fidgeting and nervous. She had also asked him a couple of questions but it didn't seem that he was paying attention. It was though Peeta was going to have one of his episodes.

Katniss looked at him from across the table. "Peeta....are you alright?" She asked, her worried eyes surveying him.

Her voice finally drew him back to her, and he forced a small smile.

"I'm fine."

He took a deep breath.

"Katniss - " he stopped suddenly, standing, then falling to one knee, taking her hand. "Katniss, you're the only thing in the world that's mattered to me, since I was five years old. You're everything I've always dreamed of, and I'd die to keep you safe and happy. I know I'm damaged and don't have much to offer you, except my absolute love and devotion, but...will you marry me?"

Katniss smiled as Peeta assured him that he was fine. Curiously, she watched him as he stood and then fell to one knee and even though she suspected what he was about to do, she still found herself shocked. Her jaw dropped a bit as he proposed to her and she was vaguely aware that they had the attention of every patron in the building.

Katniss took a few moments to digest his words before a smile spread across her face and she nodded, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Of course I'll marry you Peeta Mellark!" She leaned in, kissing him gently.
