WHO: Jasper Hale & Alice Cullen
WHAT: A surprise on Valentine's Day
WHEN: Tuesday, February 14th. Early Evening
WHERE: Alice's Studio

With the recent zombie invasion, Jasper had been glad to get out of town, if only for an evening. Sure, the zombies wouldn't actually be able to hurt them if they were attacked, but they didn't need the inconvenience; besides zombies just made a mess. And even if there hadn't been a zombie invasion, getting away after everything that had been going on with their family was long overdue. He hated the fact that things were so backwards with their family, but he understood how everyone was feeling and in a way that was part of the problem. With his ability to pick up on others' emotions, whenever Alice, Nessie and Jacob had all been together it had not made for a very pleasant time in Jasper's head. However, now that Edward and Bella seemed to be engaged again, he was hopeful that things were beginning to look up.

Another thing that he was hopeful about, was that Alice would be surprised when they got to the Studio. Of course Alice always promised not to peek into their future when he was doing something to surprise her, but there was always the chance that she was curious or did it by accident, but he was fairly certain that she didn't have a clue that he had arraigned to have the studio finished while they were gone. He'd put Nessie in charge of overseeing the construction and since she hadn't messaged him with any problems, he was confident that it had been completed.

"I forgot, there's a paper I needed to sign before we left." Jasper said as they walked down the street towards the studio, hand in hand, "It'll only take a moment and then we can go home." Reaching the studio, he unlocked the door and stepped inside, letting go of Alice's hand only to go turn on the lights.
