Edward ran his finger down her spine as she settled and got herself comfortable. He could never understand how she found lying against him comfortable. He was hard as stone and yet, he was glad she did. Holding her and watching Bella sleep was one of his favourite parts of the day.
"I've missed you too Bella. So much." He knew how hard this separation had been on the both of them.
He chuckled at her mention of the solution to secure her text book and her anxious tennis shoes. "The piano in my room sings along when I play. It also doesn't hesitate to tell me when I missed a note. We've had an argument about the lullaby that I wrote for you. The piano thinks it'd be better if I changed a note or two." Edward smirked. He had to admit that it was amusing.
