A Midnight Snack
WHO: Eric Northman and Parker
WHAT: Eric is thirsty and Parker gets a little too close.
WHEN: After the sun has set
WHERE: Out and about the grounds of Colligo
RATING: Low
STATUS: In Progress.

Eric had no success on finding a donor and it didn't look like Sookie was going to volunteer any time soon. It had been weeks since he arrived in Colligo and he needed to feed. He still was very weary of his surroundings and he wanted to be at his strongest in case he needed to defend himself and/or Sookie.

Since had no luck finding a donor and the idea of bagged blood or animal blood sounded just as vile to him as drinking a True Blood, Eric was wondering the streets of Colligo, looking for his meal. He was intending to find a human, feed and glamour them into forgetting what happened. Eric didn't feel guilty. He needed the blood to survive. He wasn't going to kill anyone and nobody would be hurt.

Eric stayed in the shadows, keeping his senses alert as he waited.

After their conversations had ended, Parker hadn't given the vampire known as Eric Northman much thought. Her personal opinion was that, if he wanted volunteers for blood, he needed to be nicer. You couldn't run around talking about how you were superior than humans when you relied on them for a food source. That was just common sense, as far as she was concerned. But it was obvious that he didn't feel the same way and so she had put him, and his need for a meal, out of her mind.

Currently, she wasn't thinking about much of anything else either. Not Eric the moody vampire, or Cas not being in the city anymore, or even all of the babies that people she knew seemed to be having. She was just enjoying her night away from the casino, doing what she typically did when she had some time all to herself. Namely, studying the security at various businesses and figuring out the fastest, easiest, and most fool-proof way to break in. Having finished casing a new bank that had opened a few days prior and finding their security woefully lacking, the blond made a few mental notes about the place then made her way across the street toward a jewellery store that she knew typically dealt in higher-end items.

With her bag containing all of her gear slung over her shoulder, Parker knew that anyone who had ever dealt with a professional thief would likely assume she was there to actually rob the place. She wasn't, but it was hard to convince someone of that when you had the sort of reputation that she did. So she stuck to the shadows, letting the cover of darkness hide her from the general population. She was just about to her intended location, too, when she realized that she was not the only one who had decided hiding in the darkness was a smart move.

Not sure who it was but simply knowing someone was up ahead, the blond hesitated. "Huh," she said, more to herself than anyone else as she slid her hand into her knapsack in search of her taser. Just in case.

He scented the human long before she was within his sights. He stood in the shadows for some time, observing the blonde female from afar. He never rushed in on his prey when he was hunting. He liked to observe the human for awhile. One could learn a lot just by watching. He had to admit that he was genuinely interested in why she seemed to be surveying buildings. It was as though she was looking for weaknesses in the different businesses security and yet, she made no attempt to break in.

Eric watched as the blonde female hesitated and he knew that she suspected that she was not alone. As she searched through her bag, he decided to reveal himself. Stepping out of the shadows, he approached the woman casually, giving no indication that he was dangerous and a threat to her safety.

"Hasn't anyone told you that you that a pretty woman like you should not be wandering the dark unescorted? It is not safe." He smirked, looking the female over. "Are you missing something?"

It took Parker all of a half of a second to recognize Eric when he approached. Sure, she didn't know his name - mostly because she hadn't bothered to really learn it when they'd talked over the message board - but the small picture that was associated with his PDA had given her enough to work with that she knew who he was on sight. Or, at least, she assumed that he was the creepy vampire that had been going on and on about how he owned some human girl or something. However, with some people looking like other people in the city from time to time, she didn't want to necessarily assume.

So, in a move that was extremely uncharacteristic of her, Parker decided to play it close to the vest for the time being. Just in case.

Giving a shrug of her shoulders, she let her hand slide out of her bag without bothering with the taser. "Who says I'm unescorted? Maybe he's just invisible," she replied flippantly as she eyed the guy with no small amount of suspicion. It wasn't that he was doing anything to warrant it, really. As a general rule she didn't trust anyone she didn't know very well. In her line of work, people who did things like that tended to get hurt. Or, even worse, caught.

"So," she said after a second or so, "any reason you're skulking around in the dark or is it just a wacky hobby of yours?"

Eric recognized the female when he got a good look at her. She was the woman on the PDA, the same girl that had tested Eric's very limited patience.

Eric smirked as the girl answered his question. He found her amusing. He also found it intriguing that she didn't seem to be nervous around him. He assumed that she recognized him so she must know what he was. "It is usually not a good sign when an adult woman has an invisible friend."

Eric smirked again, showing the tips of his fangs as he inhaled her scent. He could feel his thirst growing stronger with each passing minute. It had been quite a while since he fed. "I could ask you the same question. What brings you out in the dark?"

"Casing places," Parker answered without hesitation. She saw no reason to make up something. Not only was she terrible at lying but, well, what was the point? The guy was a vampire who ate people as a way of staying alive. Or undead. Whatever. The point was, he had no room to judge her for her preferred nighttime activities. Not now, not ever.

Her blue eyes focused directly on him as she arched an eyebrow ever so slightly. "You still haven't answered my question," she pointed out in a mild tone. She gave no indication she was even a little bit worried about being so close to him. Mostly because she wasn't. Slowly, she smirked. "Come on, be honest. It's a wacky hobby of yours, isn't it? It's okay. You can tell me. I won't judge." She held up two fingers, only belatedly wondering if that was even the proper way to make the pledge she was about to make.

"Scout's honor," she tacked on, deciding to take a chance and hope she was right.

"Casing places." Eric repeated as he smirked and looked down at the girl.

Eric inhaled the girl's scent again and his thirst grew. "I do not have to answer your question if I do not want to. I do not answer to humans. But, if you are really interested, the reason why I am out in the dark is that I am hunting." Eric let his fangs extend and he smirked again, showing the tips of his fangs.

"I think I might have just found my meal."
