Time to Explore

Emily had spent a lot of time in her room after arriving in Colligo. She was still very unsure of her surroundings and she was still trying to figure out why she was brought here. Most of all, she was missing Sam. Emily was thankful that she wasn't completely alone. Jacob, Leah, Bella and Renesmee were here. It made her feel a little less lonely.

After passing some time doing some baking, she dropped a bunch of baked good by Jacob and Renesmee's room before leaving the building to do some exploring. If she was going to be stuck here, she might as well get to know the area.

Walking around the grounds she paused to look in the window of every store that she came across, admiring their displays. It seemed as though there was a little bit of everything here and all of the necessities could be found within the stores. Emily went into the book store and browsed, making note of all of the books that looked interesting to her, which she would definitely have to come back to purchase them.

After leaving the book store, she continued down the path. Maybe this place wasn't that bad after all.

Melinda had been at work, baking pies and then helping the customers with their purchases. She absolutely loved the smells of the pies that were in the oven. Her job wasn't really hard, but with her class schedule and everything, she had to balance out a lot of things. She had a couple more things to do before she could leave and have complete freedom until the next day. She figured that she would take a walk in the park.

When her last customer ordered their pie, she took their money and then gave them what they ordered. Looking at the clock she smiled, finally her shift was over. She liked managing the pie shop, but it took a lot of hours sometimes.

Putting her apron on the hanger and getting her things, she left the pie shop and headed on out towards the park. She enjoyed all the things that other people were doing. She was checking her phone when she felt a push. Noticing that she had bumped into someone. "Oh I'm so sorry, I need to watch where I'm going sometimes. I'm very clumsy"

	Emily was wondering around the streets, lost in her thoughts when she was slightly knocked off balance as someone bumped into her. Steadying herself, she smiled at the woman who was apologizing to her. "Don't worry about it. No harm, no foul." Emily said. "Are you all right?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Melinda always knew that she was clumsy, she always needed to watch where she was going. She did it all the time, especially when her thoughts were on other things. Her mind seemed to be on either her homework, her actually work that she needed to do for the pie shop and then of course the lack of her social life.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Mind is kind of running all over the place today." She let out a little laugh. "I'm Melinda by the way." She said as she extended her arm to shake her hand.

Emily smiled, taking the woman's extended hand and shaking it. "I'm Emily. It's nice to meet you." Emily looked at the woman a little self-consciously. She was used to people staring at her even if they didn't mean to and wondering what happened but either Melinda hadn't noticed or she was politely doing her best to ignore the extensive scarring on Emily's face. Emily long accepted her injury and she didn't let the scars hold her back but she had to admit she had grown accustomed to people knowing what happened back home.

"Do you bake?" Emily asked, gesturing to what looked like a spot of flour on Melinda's pants.
