Kal had an amused look on his face as the safety was taken off. But after the young man revealed his name? He had a serious look then. It wasn't a happy look. "So.. you're the little shit with a gun. I've been wanting to meet you." It was odd that there were no children in sight. "And a liar as well, seeing how there are no hostages. Though I don't see the point of wiring this place as you did when there are no victims to use it on, unless you're suicidal."
He seemed a bit confused then as the bullet left the gun. Time seemed to slow down for him. He saw the bullet slowly careen toward him. Dead center. Going right between the eyes. There were a number of things he could do. He could use heat vision to fry the bullet. Or catch it in his hand. Or even step out of the way with his speed.
But instead, he just stood there. The bullet impacted. Crunched up. And bounced off his face like it had hit titanium. To Lawliet, it would seem like a quick shot, then a spark.. and not a scratch on the intended target. The bullet had just bounced off him like nothing. He laughed then, stepping toward him. "Oh! I'm so sorry, L. Was that supposed to hurt? You know, it's rude to shoot someone before they can introduce themselves. But my name is Kal. Go on, shoot me again. I'll even let you hold the gun closer, right up to my face this time."
