She paused for a brief moment, her fingers twisted the beautiful engagement ring on her finger. She loved that ring, she loved everything that it stood for, but now..
"No, Edward. There is every reason I can't marry you." She slipped the beautiful ring from her finger and pressed it into her palm. "Your family is here and you belong with them. I won't get in the way of that and I certainly don't belong."
