WHO: Jamie Potter & Arthur
WHAT: Arthur's getting ready for work
WHEN: Mid afternoon on tuesday
WHERE: Arthur's room
RATING: TBD
STATUS: in progress

Arthur had done is best to sleep in today. He knew he was set for a long over night, a seven to four shift. Working mid-day would have been his preference, but they were required to work at least one late overnight a week. And what made all this wonderful, was that he was able to sleep in...without Jamie next to him. In reality, Arthur had nothing against the kid, but he needed his space. Despite the relationship he had with Ariadne and Eames, there were nights he preferred sleeping on his own. He wasn't exactly a creature of constant affections, he needed that moment or two to himself.

The alarm on the dresser was blinking 3:30pm as the soft beeping noise woke him out of slumber. He at least had an hour more to himself until the other showed back up. Hopefully.

Jamie, for his part, didn't really mind this whole forced togetherness thing except for the part where Arthur had practically forced him out of his flat, because as he'd claimed "It was a mess". Jamie didn't think his flat was that bad considering he'd cleaned up before his family had come by on New Year's Eve, but he would admit that it wasn't as clean as it had been when Lily was there. So really that was the only problem Jamie had with this whole situation. That and the fact that Arthur wasn't exactly very outgoing, which meant Jamie had been rather bored over the last week when he wasn't in work, which he actually looked forward to going to, because it gave him something to do that didn't include the other man. It had been sometime since Jamie had shared a bed with anyone and the last male he'd shared a bed with had been either Al or one of his cousins during some family get together or something, so it was a little strange to be sharing a bed with Arthur.

Ok, who was he kidding, Jamie hated this. While Arthur had been nice enough to him during this, minus when he'd been freaking out about Jamie's flat, Jamie hated not being able to go anywhere except work without Arthur. He didn't like being tied down, which was probably part of the reason why he hadn't had a serious relationship as well.

After leaving the magic shop a little after 3:30, Jamie headed back to the house that Arthur shared with his...whatever they called it...and let himself in with the key Arthur had supplied him with, "Honey, I'm home." He called as he closed the door causing the resident dog to run over to see who had come in.

Arthur had managed his pants and shirt, working on his tie as he heard the key being pushed into the lock. It was a nice little break, but no more. Jamie wasn't a horrible person, he was young, but Arthur had been young at one time too. Then again, he couldn't really classify himself as a normal young person. He was in a military program the moment he graduated and moved into the Dream program soon after. He'd never seen the appeal in partying. Going out for drinks though, that wasn't something he would pass up without decent enough reason.

Stepping out into the living area, he gave Jamie a quick nod, "There's leftovers in the fridge from that Italian place down the street. I picked up some on the way home last night. Not really sure if you're much of a left over person though."

Jamie glanced towards the hall where he heard Arthur's voice as he pocketed the key, "Take away is what I tend to eat most of the time, so leftovers are fine." He ran a hand through his hair as he went towards the kitchen to check out what Arthur had picked up. He didn't really feel like staying in tonight, but there wasn't exactly anyone he could ring up to hang out with at the moment unless...unless he tagged along with Arthur to the casino. It wasn't as if he hadn't been to a casino before and now he had some money to gamble with. "Hey, why don't I go along with you tonight." He said, going back out into the living room where it was more likely that that his voice would travel so that Arthur would hear it.

"With me?" The idea wasn't unreasonable, but it just seemed odd. Though if he had to spend time with Jamie, getting to know the guy better couldn't hurt (with no promises about revealing anything about himself). "I suppose that'd be alright. You going to wear that tonight?"

Arthur's eyes glanced briefly over Jamie, taking in detail, "I mean, there's nothing wrong with that, but you might want to throw on a different shirt to blend in is all. I've got a few if you can fi-never mind. I'll see if I can grab you one of Eames'." With that, Arthur finished up his tie and snuck into the man's room to retrieve one of his few solid colored shirts.

"Well it's better than sitting around here, alone, with the dog all night. At least at the casino I can try to win some money." Jamie said, quirking a brow at Arthur when he mentioned his shirt, "What's wrong with my shirt? Not everyone wears a bloody suit and tie daily, you know." When Arthur disappeared into one of the other bedrooms, Jamie shook his head and leaned against the wall in the hallway. From what Jamie had seen so far, this guy really needed to loosen up and have a little fun. In Jamie's opinion, he seemed way too uptight and needed a good shag. Had Jamie realized that he was in a relationship with two other people, he wouldn't have believed it for a second, because Arthur certainly didn't seem like the threesome type.

"Fine by me." Arthur had returned with a grey shirt that would have brought out his eye color more. It brought to mind his own slight obsession about looking well dressed. He still had problems pinpointing exactly when it all started, but he'd sure as hell pin it on the military.

"I can get you into the bigger tables if you want to try your hand there, though you might lose more money then win depending on your skill." Moving into the kitchen, he grabbed a random keurig cup and put it in the machine. "That or if you need an extra hundred or two let me know."
