"Now, I certainly don't see anyone else in here. Do you?" Amanda said, offering Spock a smile that was verging on playful. She'd seen this sort of response in kids before, those that thought they had to be on their best behavior because of some sort of imagined (or, sometimes, even real) disappointment on the part of their parents if they stepped even one toe out of line by being a child like they were supposed to be.
Casting an exaggerated glance over her shoulder and then another back down each end of the hall to 'examine' the inhabitants of the room, Amanda turned her attention back to the boy, her grin widening if it was possible, "Nope. Not an Ambassador or a diplomat in sight. Illogical or not, sometime you've just got to do what feels right. Especially when you're alone," She said before winking at him. "Promise I won't tell."
This really wasn't so different. In fact, whatever nerves she had felt up to that point were pretty much gone by now.
