Lexi still couldn't believe that Huck was back and really, until she actually saw him with her own two eyes, there was a part of her that wasn't going to believe it for fear of being disappointed if she reached the apartment and somehow found out it was empty. She hadn't expected to fall for anyone here, considering she was technically still with Lee, but at the same time, she'd died back home and Colligo was almost like a weird version of purgatory in a way, because for all intents and purposes she was a alive and she knew that Lee wouldn't have wanted her to pine away for him and be alone. Then there was the fact that Huck wasn't like most men now-a-days and that intrigued her.

After leaving The Roadhouse, Lexi went to her apartment quickly to down a bloodbag, because it had been days since she'd last fed, thanks to the amnesia and she was grateful for her years of control otherwise she might have snacked on Ellen or Sam long before she'd gotten her memory back. Once her hunger was satisfied, she sped off to Huck's apartment, the fact that the whole city was suddenly different certainly hadn't escaped her notice and she was glad for the years she'd had to dress almost exactly as she was now, because it made it much easier to speed across town without snagging her dress on anything. Reaching the apartment, which was now quite different, Lexi stopped in front of Huck's door, glad that she didn't need to breath so that she wasn't gasping for breath and knocked on the door.

Huck was practically pacing by the time she got there, but that was partly due to the fact that he was working on a particularly dramatic segment of his newest novel idea, and was all but acting it out as he narrated it out loud. Yes, he realized he might sound a bit mad, but that was creative genius for you.

He was grinning broadly as he opened the door, his shirt untucked and a pencil stuck behind his ear as he stared at her. "Ain't you a sight for sore eyes."

Lexi may not have had to breath, but when Huck opened the door she inhaled sharply as she stared at him, almost afraid to move for fear that he'd still disappear if she touched him. When he spoke, she couldn't help but smile, having missed the sound of his voice, "Me? You're the one that's been gone for three months."

Deciding that there was far too much space between them, Lexi finally stepped forward, crossing the threshold and lifted an arm, cupping his cheek with her hand, her smile widening as she was finally convinced that he was solid and not about to vanish before her eyes, "You're really back."

"Yes," he said, "Three months I spend chasing Tom Sawyer, esquire, around the greater St. Petersburg area, while he played detective and romanced his key witness." He was mostly joking, but everyone knew Tom Sawyer was a notorious flirt--even if he hadn't ever gotten over Becky Thatcher.

Huck put his arms around Lexi, drawing her close. "Glad to know you're still wearing my ring."

"Sounds very very...boring." With Huck there, Lexi was having a hard time trying to stop smiling, not that she wanted to of course, "You would have had much more fun if you'd stayed here, but I guess you couldn't really control that, now could you?"

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she nodded, "Well it's rather special to me and not just because taking it off would mean I'd go crispy in the sun, but because this really really handsome gentleman made it for me."

Huck gave a little harrumph. He hadn't had any say in whether he was staying or going. Now that he was back, he remembered a certain novel he'd been working on, but he'd found his room completely empty, and didn't know if Lexi would still have her copy of his progress or not.

"This really handsome gentleman wouldn't happen to have left a manuscript with you, would he?"

"A manuscript?" Of course Lexi still had it; it had been the only thing besides her ring that proved Huck had actually been there and there was no way in hell that she was going to part with it. Well that was before Huck popped back up of course. "I think I recall a manuscript. What do I get for returning said manuscript to said handsome gentleman?" She quirked a brow, smirk still upon her lips.

	Lexi bit her bottom lip as she gazed at Huck, her back arching slightly as his hand moved down, which in turn pressed her body closer to his, "Well, to start, it's been three months since I've been kissed." 	"Really? Three months?" He raised a hand to gently caress her face, tracing her mouth with his thumb. "We should...definitely fix that..." "Mmmhmm," She nodded her head slightly, eyes closing briefly as his thumb traced her lips. In the last three months since Huck had been sent back, Lexi had mainly been hanging out with her friends or working and then there were the random crazy things that happened, which left Lexi with little time to find someone new to kiss; not that she really wanted someone new to kiss. She hadn't exactly been pining for Huck, but he had intrigued her and even after he'd been sent back she hadn't been able to stop thinking about him.

As his lips brushed hers, she wrapped her arms tighter around his neck and pulled him down the rest of the way, claiming his mouth in a kiss.

	Needless to say, he was flattered that she hadn't gone out of her way to replace him. His hand slid into her hair then, supporting her neck as he kissed her, gently at first, then teasing the seam of her lips with his tongue. It had been too long. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

It had definitely been too long and now that they were kissing, Lexi didn't want to stop and considering that she didn't exactly have to breath, she probably could have, but Huck was still human so he'd eventually have to stop, but for now she was content with doing this for as long as he could keep up. Her lips parted instinctively as his tongue seeked entrance and a contented sound escaped her lips as she did so.

	Huck was no longer afraid of nicking his tongue on hidden fangs, though he supposed the possibility still thrilled him. He gave a contented purr as well as he deepened the kiss, holding her flush against his body. He didn't mind being a little breathless. He was just glad to be back. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Huck had nothing to worry about as far as her fangs were concerned since she kept them retracted most of the time, considering she didn't need them to eat since she didn't drink directly from humans anymore. She tended to mainly use her fangs now a days as a show of dominance or to scare certain people.

Despite being pressed up against him, her senses practically overcome by the sound of his heartbeat and the feel of beating against her chest, part of her still couldn't believe that he was really back and she knew that train of thought wasn't likely to go away completely for a few days at the most.

After a few more moments, she pulled away, only far enough to speak, "You've almost got me sold on returning that manuscript." As she spoke, voice low, her lips turned up into a teasing smirk.

	"Almost?" The the hand at the small of her back dipped scandalously lower, cupping her backside has Huck purred. As close as they were, there was no hiding now just how happy he was to see her, or how much he'd enjoyed that kiss. "How about we continue these talks some place a little more...comfortable?" Despite the layers Lexi was currently wearing, which was probably lying the most she'd worn in a long time, the affects the kiss and their closeness had, had on Huck were unmistakable and she'd have to either be a fool or incredibly cruel to turn down his offer and lucky for the both of them she was neither. "I like the sound of that very much." She could have teased him a little and dragged her answer out, but there'd be plenty of time for that later.

	Lexi allowed Huck to lead her into the bedroom, holding tight to his hand the entire way. "Hmm, no I don't think you have actually." Lexi smirked as she tipped her head to the side, giving him more access tiger neck despite the fact that the dress she'd woken up in already displayed her neck and other assets quite a bit. Lexi really wished she was wearing her own clothes right now, because with the various layers of her dress and corset and all the other junk that went a long with it, it was making it difficult to really feel Huck's hands as they roamed over her body, "You're ruggedly handsome, for a start." She loved the way his mouth felt on her neck and her eyes slid shut as she brought a hand up to run her fingers through his hair while the other came up to rest on his chest for a moment or two, because slowly sliding down along the buttons on his shirt.

"You are," She took a breath, causing her chest to rise, which was a sneaky attempt on her part to feel his lips against her skin even more, if that were even possible. "And even when you're talking about undressing me, you're still a gentleman about it." Getting out of all these ridiculous layers sounded like a wonderful idea to Lexi and if she were honest, she wouldn't be the least bit sad if Huck accidently ripped something if it meant getting it off quicker.
