Who: Alaric Saltzman and Eliot Spencer
What: Male bonding
Where: The Community Center
When: Saturday afternoon
Warnings: Will update if anything comes up.

Cas was gone, but the community center stood as a testament to his name, and his work. Eliot volunteered his time, working late night security when he wasn't working at the casino. He'd taken to sleeping in his office, rather than heading back to his apartment. He felt like he belonged there, like that was where he was supposed to be.

He had the afternoon off, which was rare. Dean was working the security gig, leaving Eliot with nothing to do. Eliot wasn't the sort to sit around and do nothing, so he'd called on a friend, and the pair had gone at each other in the boxing ring. Some unmeasured mount of time later, the center was fairly quiet, and Eliot and Ric were sweaty and gross, and putting off a very manly vibe.

They'd surrendered the ring to a couple of kids, and they'd retired to Eliot's office. The couch was comfortable, and the television spanned half of one wall, and featured a top of the line sports package. Though he had a game on, the sound was low and Eliot wasn't really paying attention to it. He was more in tune with what Ric had to say.

Ric enjoyed his boxing matches with Eliot, even though he knew the other man was holding back. Eliot had, after all, liberated Croatia to get over a break up, and probably fought entire hordes of ninjas on his own, blindfolded and with one hand tied behind his back. Or Ric assumed that was the kind of thing Eliot did with his free time, but maybe he was overestimating his friend.

But he did enjoy their sparring sessions, and he knew they benefited both of them in their own ways. Eliot needed an outlet for his frustrations, and Ric had taken to boxing as a way to deal with the helplessness he still felt even months after his time as Klaus's puppet. It also had the more practical effect of simply making him a more skilled fighter. He would never be on Eliot's level, nor did he want to be, but he was less likely to get killed with his own stake or knifed by a werewolf. That was always good.

Once they'd stopped for the day so some teenagers could use the ring, he'd followed Eliot back to his office and they'd both collapsed onto the sofa. Ric had an eye on the sports games, but his real focus was on his conversation with Eliot. They weren't really talking about anything too important, just idle conversation. That was probably for the best though. His muscles were aching, in a good way but still, and he was a little too worn out for deep conversation.

"People are just being weird," he said, idly. "I've never had so many students apologize for using Wikipedia to do their assignments. It's like an epidemic of repentant students. One girl actually came to me after class crying and told me she felt awful for texting in class. I mean...it's not that big a deal that she had to get upset about it."
