Who: Merlin & Freya What: Picnic and taking their dragons out for a walk. Where: Woods by the lake. When: After This
Merlin had the blanket set down by the lake, and pulled an as sortment of food out of his backpack. Sandwiches, a little tray of carrots, broccoli, and ranch dressing, a couple bottles of fruit punch, and a pink bakery box that held two massive cupcakes. Aedan was stalking through the grass after his own lunch, eventually launching into the air, and tackling a squirrel to the ground. Merlin just chuckled a little when the squirrel managed to slip free and scamper up the tree, leaving the tiny, blue-green dragon huffing angry little sparks and smoke into the air.
"You can fly after it, you know." He pointed out, laughing at the small roar that followed. It was different from the way Kilgharrah used to speak, but he still understood, even if the dragon still had a little trouble with making complete sentences. Side effect of being a statue maybe. "Right. Squirrel makes you sick anyways, all that fur. "
He pulled out the spare ham sandwich and sat on the blanket, ripping it in little pieces, and feeding his winged pet after it perched on his knee. "Freya will be here soon with Afanen. The two of you can play. There is going to be trouble when the two of you are grown - and Hugo's as well...Maybe I should start a farm. Eventually birds and rabbits won't be enough. I'll need cows or sheep or something...I could be a shepherd."
