"I meant in regards to the corridor," Spock stated in a tone that was somehow even and yet laced with mild annoyance at the same time. He paused briefly before once again showing his less-than-Vulcan side by adding pointedly, "And you are assuming that every building is being used for housing. Given the various shapes and sizes of the buildings, that would seem an illogical assumption."
Looking away from her, back to the hallway, he tried to decide which direction seemed the best to take. They could take the stairs and see if they might be able to reach the bottom floor and some sort of exit, or they could try their luck knocking on one of the other doors. Uncertain which decision was more logical given their situation, he looked back to Nyota.
"What do you propose we do now?" he questioned, uncertainty shining in his eyes no matter how much he might try to hide it.
