"Or maybe they just belong to someone else?" Nyota suggested quietly. "People that are in Starfleet?" Granted, that didn't make sense given the time period, but the lady did say that she was with Temporal Investigations (Nyota was pretty sure she'd never heard of that branch, even as much as her Daddy talked about Starfleet), so that might have something to do with it. "Daddy's not going to like it if Starfleet has something to do with me missing. Especially since he doesn't take Mammy and me with him just cause he doesn't want something happening to us," Nyota said, her brow furrowing before she looked up at Spock.
"I can," She said after a moment. "And you're right. There are no Vulcans in Starfleet. They've got the best Science Academy in the galaxy. Why would there be?" Nyota said with a shrug. It seemed simple enough to understand to her.
Turning her attention back down to the device, Nyota set to replying to the woman. It took her a bit to figure out how to pull up the internal keyboard, but after that, getting out what she wanted to say was a simple enough matter. It wasn't like she could give the woman what she wanted.
"At least if Starfleet's here, there is someone that might be able to get us home?"
