The first thought that flickered through Spock's mind was that it was far colder than it really should have been. The second thought was that someone was poking him. The third thought was that the voice which accompanied the poke was decidedly not his Mother's yet was clearly female. All three of these thoughts hadn't quite worked their way fully and coherently into his still sleep-ridden mind, however, when he replied to the statement that he could only assume was directed at him.
"Illogical. This is my room. Of course I am meant to be here."
As soon as the words left his mouth, Spock's mind snapped fully into an awake state and his eyes slid open. Twisting around on the mattress so he was now facing the unknown human girl in front of him, the boy instantly sat up and looked around. "This was my room," he stated, his tone laced with the slightest twinge of confusion. His gaze went back to the girl and he asked the first thing that popped into his mind.
