WHO: Guinevere and Gwaine
WHAT: A random happy meeting
WHEN: Early Afternoon
WHERE: Park
RATING: Low probably
STATUS: In Progress

Guinevere enjoyed her job, she really did, just things were a little worse than normal recently. Women seemed more stressed, there had been a lot more shouting and some of the words she had heard coming out of those who came to her had shocked her. But she dealt with it. But she had been rather happy at the prospect of a day off to stay away from the drama of that place. One smile from Abigail and she rather forgot about it, other than the occasional glare she got because the fact that she had a pram and must have taken up more room. Not that that should be a problem, but some people must be in a bit of a mood today.

She had chosen the park, simply because she could take Abigail out and let her play without much worry but when she saw the form near her she grinned. She saw Gwaine occasionally, especially after that whole child thing that happened recently. Grinning brightly, she laughed at the obvious state of both Gwaine and his horse. They must have been out for quite some time.

"Nice to see some have not given up on their hobbies from home."

Gwaine had needed the morning ride to cool his temper. He didn't often have one as he normally just rolled with the punches, so to speak, and moved onto the next enjoyment. The problem, however, was the responsibility and respectability Gwaine had accepted in taking on a job. You couldn't just walk away or throw a punch back at an extremely rude patron. And when you had a night full of crabby customers it wore on a person, even Gwaine.

And the morning aggravation had only increased when he reached the stables just inside the park and learned that the hired stable boy had, for reasons beyond Gwaine's comprehension, 'missed' tending to Your Majesty's stall. It was filthy and before he could in good conscience take his horse for a run he mucked it out himself, which only earned him more scowls from the staff, oddly enough.

He spared Your Majesty the worst of his frustrations while out on the path, but a good run had done wonders for his temper all the same.

When he saw the familiar grin of Gwen he pulled Your Majesty up from his cool down walk and dismounted.

"Some hobbies I couldn't give up if I dreamed of it," like gambling, drinking, and women. "Nice to see your lovely face on a day like today, everyone full of scowls." His voice was breathy, evidence of his long ride along with the sweat lining his brow. "How are you and the wee one today?"

"I can imagine," she replied with a teasingly disapproving glance. Of course she didn't disapprove, she adored Gwaine too much to think like that. He was incredibly sweet and charming and seemed to know the right smile to give at the right time. She rather didn't mind letting him get away with some things when she saw him. Many of the charming men from Camelot here had that way of being with her. They managed to make her feel like she had to make them happy and content, but maybe that was just the way she was. She cared deeply for all of them, including Gwaine.

"For you too? I have noticed a few people with less than nice glances. I was beginning to wonder if something had happened." She smiled gently at him before reaching into her bag for one of the few cloths she brought with her usually to wipe Abigail up after feeding. "Here, you look like you need this."

She nodded at his forehead with a laugh. He really did look rather sweaty and she knew it wasn't fun to have such a feeling. She laughed when Abigail made her presence known with a fair few noises. Reaching down, she picked her up and her laughter only increased when she began to kick and scream at the sight of Gwaine and the horse.

"We are fine, as you can see."

"Thank you," Gwaine accepted the cloth and used it liberally, it felt a blessed relief to rid his face and neck of sweat. Your Majesty in turn decided to use the body of Gwaine as a giant towel to rub against and the knight had to work to keep himself upright for a second before forcing Your Majesty to accept his hand scratching under the bridal straps and tufts of mane as a poor substitute to total body contact.

"And we are just as well." Gwaine smiled and Abigail's wails, not at all put out by her disgruntled protests, unlike his feelings towards the city's inhabitants. Your Majesty flicked an ear or two to the babe's direction but was exhausted enough that her distress wasn't the animals distress. In fact, the horse lowered his head and snorted and gave his neck a hearty shake.

"Would you like to walk back with us?" He nodded in the direction of the stables.

Gwen grinned at the horse's attack on his master, lifting Abigail up more so she could see the horse better. She may be a little young to really understand what the animal was but she at least found this sort of thing interesting. Seeing new shapes and things excited and scared her at the same time. She tried to let Abigail realise that the horse wasn't dangerous, taking one tiny hand and placing it on Your Majesty's nose.

"You're okay sweetheart," she said after making sure the horse wasn't going to kick off and that Abigail wasn't going to sob. When the little girl seemed to calm, she felt a lot happier and gave Gwaine a smile as she nodded. "Sure. Let me just put Abigail back first."

She couldn't carry Abigail and keep complete control of the pram.
