Who: Melinda and Peter
When: BACKDATED to Saturday afternoon
Where: Ice Skating rink or lake
What: Ice Skating
Status/Rating: Incomplete/PG to PG-13

Melinda had gotten out of bed on a Saturday morning and looked outside. It was actually snowing, real snow. She had never seen snow before, well, except for if she ended up orbing somewhere that had snow. She loved to ski and go snowboarding with friends when she didn't have anything else to do on weekends. Everything was so sparkly and white, that was the beauty part of snow, the coldness, not so much. Getting up and putting on a pair of jeans and a sweater she headed into the kitchen to make herself some breakfast, a nice stack of pancakes sounded really good. After she had eaten her breakfast she just hung out in her apartment, watched some TV and read a book. Knowing that she was meeting Peter in the park, they were going to go ice skating today. Yes, Melinda could ski and she could snowboard, but ice skating was something that she just never got around to learning how to.

Looking at her watch she went into her bedroom and did her hair, putting it up in a ponytail she loved how she had the natural curl to it. Then putting on her make-up she grabbed her winter coat and a scarf. Locking the door behind her she headed on out to the mall, she wanted to get a pair of ice skates before meeting him at the park. Going into the mall, she spotted a place to where she could buy a pair of skates. Going in she picked her size and bought them. Giving the cashier her money she took her sack and headed on out.

When she arrived at the park. She really didn't know where an ice rink would actually be, but maybe there would be a lake that was frozen somewhere and they could skate on that. She was really excited but nervous at the same time. What if she fell down a hundred times and bruised her butt? Or worse, she skated and ran into something and embarrassed herself. She had to do a good job because she hated embarrassing herself in front of other people, it just wasn't her style. Finding a bench at the park to sit at she took a seat as she waited for Peter to arrive.

Unlike Melinda, Peter was used to snow every winter; not to mention Narnia had been completely covered in the fluffy white stuff the first time they'd journeyed there. As used to snow as Peter was, he had never gone ice skating. That was something he'd always left to his sisters to do while he found something else to do to occupy his time in the winter. However, when Melinda asked him about ice skating, oddly enough he'd found himself agreeing to join her to do it.

Having saved the money he'd made so far working at the stables, Peter had more than enough after buying a few winter things, to buy a pair of ice skates and still have money left over. Not knowing just how long this snow would keep the stables closed for, he had to make sure he had money for food and the like until he was working again.

So, by Saturday morning, Peter had already aquired a pair of ice skates and was waiting until the time they had decided to meet grew close before leaving to meet her. It was strange in a way, because until now Peter the only girls Peter really ever talked to her his sisters; after all, he'd attended an all boy's school with Edmund. So, girls were not exactly something he knew a whole lot about and he was even more unsure of whether or not they were simply hanging out or if this was more. Either way, he was looking forward to getting out of the apartment and glad that he was even making any friends.

Reaching the park, he walked slowly, keeping an eye out for the older girl, not wanting to miss her and make her think he had decided not to show. Of course if it came down to it, he had his PDA and could call her. That was another thing he still found strange, but he was glad for the portable device, which had become increasingly easier to use the more he used it.

Sitting there with her skates over her shoulders she just looked around at all the people that were playing in the snow. It was really weird, there shouldn't be snow in the summer, but she had seen a lot weirder in her time. She was after all a witch, and that came with a lot of weird things going on in her life. The thing that she was worried about though was missing Peter, she had no idea what he looked like, but I guess she could just find a guy that had a pair of skates with him at the park. Nobody ice skated at the park because there obviously wasn't a frozen pond or lake.

She liked being here and that she was actually making some friends. Maybe later that night she could invite her cousins over for a girls night. Not feeling the need to study for school, she could do that anytime, her classes weren't until the weekends anyways.

Looking around she thought that she had seen someone with a pair of skates, but she mistook them for something else. She brought her hand up to take a look at her watch to see what time it was. She was a little bit nervous though, what if he was good looking and she totally made a fool out of herself, she wouldn't live with herself after that. But maybe they would get to know each other and have a nice time and would become the best of friends. Oh well, she would have to find out.

Then she saw a guy with Blonde hair, and a pair of skates. Not knowing if it was the right guy she got up and went over to him anyways. "Are you Peter? I'm Melinda Halliwell." She said introducing herself.
