Bo was sad. Although she enjoyed spending time with Chris, she still missed Peter and kept hoping he would show back up. With each day that passed, she found it easier to accept that he wasn't returning and it wasn't just a bad dream that she couldn't wake up from, but she still missed him terribly. She did her best not cry and tried her very hardest to pretend to be happy for Chris' sake, but sitting around the apartment, constantly reminded of Peter, didn't make it easy. Which is the main reason she decided to take a little break away from the familiar surroundings. She knew, of course, that leaving was wrong. She even knew she might get in trouble for it. However Colleen really had to go potty and, although Chris was just in the other room and would take her out without issue, Bo decided that her dog was a perfect opportunity to step out for a little while without risking getting into too much trouble. So after leaving a careful note on her PDA just in case Chris came looking for her, Bo attached the leash to her Corgi's collar and silently made her way out of the apartment.
Reaching the outside took very little time and, almost as soon as the sun was beaming down overhead, Bo began to feel better. She was still sad, of course, but getting some fresh air and not staring at the same four walls was definitely helping her mood a little at least. Plus it was hard to stay sad when there was a cute puppy bounding about underfoot. In fact, about the time Colleen began yapping at a butterfly, Bo felt the beginning of a smile starting. By the time the puppy had decided that chasing her own tail was far more interesting, Bo was actually giggling. She might have gone into a full-blown laugh had Colleen opted to do something else, but the knowledge that someone was approaching caused her to sober up slightly. She didn't turn toward the stranger, not wanting to risk it being someone who wasn't nice, but instead tugged quietly on the leash clasped in her hand and did her best to make her way further into the courtyard with the vain hope of looking as though she had every right to be there - and had been there for some time, in fact - without an adult anywhere in sight.
