Sam decided to go with amusement, corner of his mouth quirkijg up slihtly as he heard the grumbles and the comments. Slowly it turned into a slight grin. "So long as you're not hurt, miss." He said before shifting slightly and sitting down next to her. Yeah, she hadn't invited him but she seemed kind of down. And Sam figured he wasn't going anywhere, just in case the shop needed more hands. By the looks and sounds of it, things weren't so bad-like he'd figured they weren't-but better safe than sorry. Besides, those books could wait just a bit longer.
"Sure does." Sam said agreeably. And with a hint of feeling. "Ancient." He felt as if he'd said that word more times since he'd showed up in this place than he had ... ever. But it was all true. It all was. "Been messing with some parts with some bad reaction too. S'what you get when your heads full of the future and your parts .. are not." His smile widened a bit more.
