ʀᴏɢᴜᴇ ([info]untouchable) wrote in [info]colligo_threads,

Rogue was nervous. Well, actually, that wasn't entirely true. She might be meeting with a younger version of the Professor - one who even asked that she call him by his given name - but he was still ultimately the Professor. He might be different, was definitely younger, but she knew she had no real reason to be nervous around him. However couldn't help but feel a touch apprehensive and it wasn't even because he had asked to see inside her mind. No, she was slightly on edge for one reason and one reason only.

It had been made abundantly clear over the course of the night before that Charles and the man who would someday go by Magneto were friends. And not just any friends. No, they were clearly close friends. So close, in fact, that Kitty and her had seriously pondered if their might be more to it even if the idea in any other situation would seem utterly ridiculous. And although Rogue trusted Charles Xavier explicitly, she certainly did not trust Erik Lehnsherr. In fact she pretty much despised the guy and worried, once his friend realized that after a trip inside of her head that he was going to think less of her for it.

However she wasn't about to not show up for the meeting. Yes, she had stood at the gates for a good five minutes or so, probably would have stood there even longer if some blond who had introduced herself as Ashley hadn't arrived and asked if she was going to come in or just stand there all night, but she wasn't intending on blowing him off. She was just trying to center herself a bit but, as it turned out, had enough time to work on that while following her guide through the hallways to the room Charles chosen for their little meeting. Smiling her thanks at the blond, the girl started a bit when the Professor spoke before she had even stepped inside.

She wasn't sure if she would ever get used to that.

Coming in and moving toward a chair as he'd said, Rogue gave him a smile. It was odd to see him so very young but it also felt good just to see him again. She refused to dwell on that though, instead focusing on the question he'd asked as she took her seat. "One sugar, please," she responded, her glove-covered hands resting on her thighs as she crossed her feet at the ankles and tucked them a bit beneath the chair.

There was a slight hesitation in her expression, a sort of awestruck wariness shining in her eyes as she stared at him. Realizing after a second what she was doing, she blinked and cleared her throat. "Sorry," she apologized with a somewhat embarrassed little grin. "I'm just... you look a lot different than I'm used to."
