Harry preferred walking back to his flat whenever he finished a task to apparition. It gave him a distraction to the inevitable quiet that would greet him whenever he opened his front door. Harry had spent a great majority of his early life in his own company. He had been shut out a lot of activities and social interactions thanks to the Dursley’s - denied friends of his own or locked away in his cupboard with only muffled sounds on the other side of the door to catch his active attention. Harry could spend time on his own just fine - he still spent time on his own these days he needed to for things like work When he was out in the field. He didn’t mind it, he just didn’t prefer it.

He had gotten used to loudness over the years. First starting in the Gryffindor common room and increasing to the cacophony of sounds that was his house-hold: James screaming at Al, music blaring from the Wireless, and their petulant cat making his displeasure known as loudly as possible. Compared to all of that his flat was a tomb. Crypts were more active and that left Harry feeling uneasy. Much more than he liked to admit to anyone.

He walked to his flat. In silence. But the world about him buzzed with liveliness and children laughing thanks to summer. He smile at the child who would have ran over his foot with his skateboard if Harry hadn’t hopped back quickly enough.

It was in his hopping back that he noticed Guinevere, or Gwen as she had once told him when he was thirteen. Harry hadn’t spoken to her since his rearrival to Colligo more than twenty-five years older than the last time he’d been in this city. She looked pretty much the same. As sweet and as pretty as ever - he could think that with the maturity of a man thoroughly in love but with eyes rather than slightly enamoured and completely in awe thoughts of a teenager. It would be a lie though to say he still didn’t feel a bit giddy over the fact that she had once come to his birthday party. After all, she was … would be, Queen Guinevere. And she hadn’t had to but she had done it anywhere. He still appreciated that.

“Hello.” He said with a friendly smile, not sure if she would recognize him or if she had seen him around on the network or not.
