Who: Billie Jenkins and Cameron
What: Scrambling a machines circuits
When: Evening, around 8pm
Where: Their apartment
Rating: TBD
Status: In Progress

Her roommate never used the kitchen, there were never any dishes out of place save the ones Billie owned, and never any food gone expect for what Billie ate. Therefor Cameron wouldn't mind Billie using it as she tried to remember potions and spells, right? Well, Billie was going to find out. She had many make shift Book of Shadows, little note pads she had filled up with spells, many coming from the Sisters book themselves, but only some of them had made it to Colligo with her. Billie had transferred all of the writings she had brought with her into one large leather bound book, but was no trying to remember some of the potions and such from home.

She was standing in the kitchen, her Book of Shadows opened to a blank page. There were multiple glass vials of different ingredients and potions placed in specific areas around the the table. She was getting annoyed with trying to remember all of them, so she'd come up with a different idea. She'd project her other books, or copies of her other books right onto her counter.

Billie was still trying to get this power right. In allowed for so much, but this...place was causing limits. Like she couldn't escape. She could travel through time, but she couldn't escape. Taking a deep breath, she gripped the counter infront of her and concentrated. She looked at the empty table where you'd sit to eat, and focused. She pictured her books, her endless little note pads that had all the notes she'd recorded over the last two years and just never put into one giant book. Some were the same as the sisters, some were different.

Sure enough, the air on the table began to blur, and at three note books, pages slightly wrinkled appeared on the table. When she opened her eyes, there was a huge grin on her face. "Alright." she said, looking slightly pleased. "Go me." she extended both of her hands, and all three of the books went flying from the table, right into her open palms.

There were things Cameron was not used to, and having a roommate was definitely one of them. She hadn't given much thought to the girl who shared the apartment with her. After all Billie seemed harmless enough, she wasn't a machine sent from the future to terminate John (not that her current location would do her any good in that case) she was just an average girl who had nice clothes. That was about the extent of knowledge Cameron had on Billie Jenkins.

When she entered the apartment that evening after another exploration of the city (and acquiring of one tight leather jacket) and heard the noises of motion in the kitchen she decided to see what was happening. She had been expecting the start of food preparation but the vials and books pointed out otherwise. She was quiet as she walked into the room, not wanting to disturb the other girl just yet. But then the air on the table seemed to move and suddenly there were books where there were no books before. And then the books moved of their own accord into Billie's hands. It did not make sense.

"I don't understand," she stated in her monotone as she walked towards Billie. "It's not possible."

She glanced up from her reading through the pages of the books she had just projected into the room, eyes falling on Cameron. Her roommate was a weird one. Didn't say much, didn't eat much, if at all. Talked in odd ways. Billie had come realize very quickly that magic didn't really have to be hidden here. She didn't go out of her way to tell people she was a witch, but it wasn't a big deal of Cameron saw her doing magic.

"Sure it is." she said cheerfully. "Look." she said, and then glanced around the room for something to move around. Eventually she settled on a knife that was sitting on the counter. She raised her hand, and quite quickly it flew from the counter, to land right back into the knife block it would usually be in. Following that, she turned to look at some of the herb plants she had growing in the windows. The sage was looking a little withered. "Watch the sage plant." she instructed, and as she concentrated, the plant seemed to perk up, becoming greener, more lively looking.

Whens that was done, she looked back at Cameron, watching her reaction with an innocent look on her face. She placed her note books onto her large leather bound book, finally glad to have all of her spells back together. Finally, she was on the track to having her own book of shadows for her family. Even if she was the only one in her family left.

She watched as instructed and while she remained motionless and showed far less of a reaction that one might in her situation there was a small but distinct flicker of confusion over her features. This was not right. There had to be some sort of explanation, this did not happen. She stared at the plant for a long moment and then finally looked back to Billie.

"It's a trick," she almost accused. "An illusion," she stated. It had to be some sort of illusion. There was no other logical way to explain what she had just seen. She looked back to the knife and the block, giving the objects a quick scan for anything hidden the average person would miss. Seeing nothing she looked to the plant and did the same.

She blinked, watching Cameron look at both the knife and the plant. What was she looking for, a remote control? Her lips twitching into a slight smile, she shook her head. "No, it really isn't." Sighing, she thought of something else to do. Why she wanted to convince Cameron, she didn't know. But it was better than leaving the poor girl confused, or thinking Billie was insane.

She looked to an empty spot in the room, and concentrated, focusing in on both of them, and how they looked. What they were dressed as, how their hair was.

Out of thin air, Billie projected two figures. Two people who looked exactly like Billie and Cameron. They moved, blinked, and could talk if she wanted them to. But you touched them, they wouldn't be solid. You'd pass through them. Or they'd vanish. Astral Projection, of sorts.

She looked back to Billie as she started to stare off into the empty spot. And then suddenly there were two exact copies of them. Cameron looked between Billie and the copy of her standing across from them. She had only ever seen Skynet create such a thing, a terminator based off a person. Like she was. But it was easy for her to see that these two things across for them were not that. They weren't anything. There was nothing to them that registered on her display.

She took the steps to close the distance between herself and her copy in slow but deliberate steps and reached a hand out to touch it, pulling back as the duplicate vanished. She recalled John explaining a book to her when there had been a story on the news about young messy haired british boys lining up for days to portray the character. She looked back to Billie. "You're like Harry Potter?" she asked. "But he is fictional. Magic is not real."

She looked almost momentarily offended, before she became slightly amused. "Please, I could kick Harry Potter's ass." mostly because the idea behind it was ridiculous. Actually, if you mixed Harry Potter with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you probably had a pretty good description. Magic and ass kicking.

"Magic is most definitely real. Just normally anyone who isn't part of that world wouldn't know about it." she said with a shrug. The other her vanished, and Billie went about picking up a vial, and tossing an ingredient into the cauldron. There was a small explosion of sparks and smoke as she completed a modified vanqusihing potion. Basically something that made things go 'boom' in a controlled way.

She reached for a clear vial and used a ladle to dip into the fluid and poor it into the glass. "Harry Potter's fictional. At least in my world, and yours it seems. But magic is everywhere. At least in my world, and probably many others." Though she would so love to try Quidditch.

She watched intently as Billie started tossing the ingredients in and actually seemed to be a little amused at the small explosion it generated, a small curl of her lips. She still wasn't quite sure about the whole thing and it very much seemed like her earlier decision of Billie being nothing more than an average girl was very far from the truth.

"There is no magic where I am from," she told Billie.

"Maybe there isn't." she said with a shrug. "Or maybe there is and you just don't know about it?" if Cameron had no magic herself, then it no one would tell her about it. Those was just the way it worked, with few exceptions, like nosie police officers who didn't know when to back off. At least they came in handy some times.

Once what she made up was safely in the bottles, she started cleaning up, going about disposing of extras in the proper way, and putting things back into the container she had been holding her magic stash in since arriving. These buildings didn't have the protection that the manor had, which was unfortunate.

She shook her head. "No, if there was something like this it would be known," she stated. Skynet knew every weapon the humans had, there was no record of magic.

She watched Billie go about cleaning up her things. She was still having trouble with processing it, she hadn't been programmed to accept the supernatural, but she had also seen it being done. She had determined that there were no usual methods of illusion used by so called magicians. It was a very conflicting state for her. "How did you learn?" she asked.

Sounded like something anyone who wasn't in the know would say, but Billie just shrugged. "If you're sure." she didn't see how anyone could know about it unless they were involved, or came across it. It wasn't like there were scanners for this stuff.

"I was born this way." she said, looking up at Cameron from putting her vials away. "My powers started later in life than normal. But I got them from my Grandmother. She was a Witch as well." her mother was human, she had no idea why the powers skipped right over her and into Billie and Christy, but she was happy to at least have the. "It's a genetic thing, past down through families." the others where just Practitioners, not actual witches.

"I'm sure," she assured Billie. She paused for a moment, going through the patterns that could occur if she told Billie somethings about herself. Finally she settled on the best version, the one that would still keep the larger parts a secret. "There is a war, if there was magic it would be used, anything would be used to win. There is no record of magic being used. Just weapons." Everything in that world was science and technology, strategy. What Billie was seemed so far removed from it to her.

"I see, thank you for explaining," she replied. "Are there many like you where you come from?"

She looked up with interest, listening to what she was saying. There was always some kind of war, weather the majority of the population knew it or not. "That's just it. Magic isn't to be used for personal gain or for any war that involves someone outside that world. If my type of magic was there..." she shook her head slightly. "Following the rules, there wouldn't be any involved." wars against other mythical creatures...well that was different. Keeping peace in that world was important.

She nodded, smiling. "There's a couple of us here. But back home there are Witches, Warlocks, Whitelighters, Angels, Vampire, Shapeshifters. I could go on, but we'd be here for a while." she said with a shrug as she finished packing up her things, and then stacking her books on top. "Some are more powerful than others." she was supposed to be one of the more powerful, someday. She was getting there, she had stood her ground against the Charmed Ones.

"There are rules?" she asked a slight raised brow. It seemed Billie had some talents she had not known of before. Cameron would like to know the most that she could. She hoped Billie didn't turn out to be a threat, she was an easy roommate, and it would be a shame to have to deal with her.

All the creatures listed she had records of, folklore and myths, some popular culture refferences but there was one that stuck out to her. "Whitelighter?" She paused. "And you? Are you one of the more powerful ones?"

"Lots of rules." she answered with a nod. "And people like me and others to deal with threats against the world as a whole." because if someone took down the sisters, there wasn't much of anyone left to stop demons from taking control. No, Earth was good as it was, no demons needed.

"Sort of like a Guardian Angel for Witches." she explained. "My Whitelighter is part Witch, she helped a lot with my training." she was careful to leave out names, or too much information that wasn't about herself. She wasn't about to spill information.

Billie paused for a moment, looking up at Cameron, a flash of what might have been pain or sadness going through her eyes. "I might have been, at one point. The most powerful of us are three sisters. They're nearly unbeatable together. With my sisters, we were just about as good as they were." she said softly. "Now it's just me. I guess if I trained enough my Projection could be powerful." Shaping reality to her will? Yeah, it could get powerful.
