Who: Future!Leon Kennedy and Open.
What: Drinking and thinking and...drinking.
Where: Harvelle's.
When: April 23rd; Evening
Rating: Moderate

He was considering this weird experience as a sort of personal time away from work. Non-stop missions and traveling around was starting to take a toll on the agent. Frankly, he was planning on trying to track down Angela that he met in Havardville and asking her about meeting up for lunch but... That wasn't going to happen anytime soon now, Leon guessed.

Sitting in and doing nothing was something he couldn't do - ever. It just wasn't him. There was always something going on somewhere or someone needed saving. He held back a smirk at the thought while he sat at the bar, taking a sip from his drink. Leon was more than greatful for the tip he got on the network about the bar. And drinking for free? Well, no way in hell he'd turn that down. The guy couldn't even remember the last time he was allowed to have a drink in the first place. Off duty, that is.

Leon leaned forward, putting the glass down and resting his arms on the bartop. Not that he actually liked being out of his element, but...maybe being in the city wasn't such a bad thing after all.

He'd been a child for the better part of two weeks. Waking up from an unscheduled nap, he found himself full grown again, and he thought that was reason enough to stop by Harvelle's to get a drink. The scowl he wore ought to be enough to warn anyone off of mentioning his recently seen child-self; he wasn't interested in talking about it.

He was definitely more interested in getting a drink. He left a stool between himself and the man already at the bar. He nodded to the bartender to order his usual, and as he settled on his stool, he took a good look at the guy next to him.

Dopplegangers weren't common in Colligo, but they weren't exactly unusual either. Still, it was hard not to do a double take when face to face with your own face. He was one of two distinct versions of himself in town already. If this guy was a third Dean Winchester, Dean didn't know what he'd do. He just hoped that wasn't the case.

Well, there was only one way to find out. "Dean," he said, avoiding the lilt of a question. The whole thing was awkward enough.

The problem was considering he didn’t really remember the city; Leon didn’t realize there were doppelgangers. He hadn’t really looked when the man sat down, but at the name he looked over curiously. It took a moment and a few blinks to realize that he wasn’t seeing things.

“Whoa. Okay, did I wake up in the twilight zone?” Clearly, this meant he was done drinking whether he was seeing things or not. Leon pushed the drink away from himself slightly before running a hand over his short hair. Bad habit was used to his long hair being there to push from his face in a moment of stress, but that had changed with the times. "I realize things aren't the same here, but this is a little much."

It didn't take long for him to change his mind about the drink and pull it back for a long swig. Home sounded more than good right about now. The little vacation could be cut short any time now, he decided.

"No Twilight Zone," Dean shook his head. "Just Colligo," he shrugged. He'd been around a while, long enough to know things were crazy insane, and not always what they seemed. "You new in town, then?" he asked, looking the man over. He looked shell shocked, at seeing Dean. Dean remembered what that was like, even if it seemed like a lifetime ago he'd first landed in town.

He was still unclear if the guy was another version of himself, though he was starting to think not. He had an edge to him, but something wasn't quite right, for him to be Dean. "You got a name?"

"You can say that. I was told I was here before and the network had stuff that I posted, so..." He shrugged. Answers were slim to none for the agent. As much as he wanted them, something told him they probably wouldn't be very uplifting.

Never used to handshakes since he was always giving his name at the spur of the moment, usually in the middle of getting ready to go into an infected area, he didn't even move to offer this time around. "It's Leon," he told him. Getting his badge out to prove who he was was almost a tempting idea. "You?"

"Dean," Dean replied. He shrugged. "Thought maybe you might be some other version of me." The look Dean gave Leon as much as said, yes this place is that crazy. "Glad you're not. The town's barely big enough for two of us already."

Dean paused to take a sip of his drink as it was put in front of him. "It happens. I left, after a couple weeks. Came back a few weeks after that. I actually remembered being here, which doesn't happen often. But people come and go, seems like every day." Dean was hardly the most informed member of Colligo society, but he had been around long enough to know some of the finer points.

He stared at Dean somewhat awestruck. "There's more than one of you in this town? Like, you or someone who looks like you." Leon heaved a breath, chuckling a little. "I think I would take another small outbreak over that."

Actually, Leon would take a repeat of Spain over it if asked.

"Sounds like a hectic life then." The concept wasn't one he was worried about though. Leon was used to bouncing around places - states normally, not suspicious places where someone looked similar to him. "Colligo itself seems fairly tame though. Better than others right now."

"There's me, and a younger me. Our histories diverge at a certain point, around five or six years ago." Dean shrugged. Sometimes he envied the other Dean for so many reasons, and the whole thing with Sam and Lucifer was high on the list, but then so was the other Dean's life in Colligo. Not that Dean wanted to settle down and have a family, but sometimes he wondered what it would be like to have that kind of relationship. Sure he was involved with Cas and Parker, but he still thought they'd be happier together without him.

"Obviously you weren't here around Christmastime, when the Toclafane invaded the city." Dean waved a hand. "You can still see the damage in some places. nasty little fuckers." So many things had happened just since Dean had been in town, but the Toclafane was probably the worst. Well, that and the zombies, and Dean had a lot more personal annoyance invested in the zombie invasion.

Mentioning how not normal that sounded seemed like a stupid thing to do. It was probably already obvious, and besides, this town of Colligo did randomly pluck him from D.C. right out of his apartment. The word normal didn't even apply anymore.

He raised his brow curiously at the mention of the Toclafane. "I saw the damaged, but...should I ask what exactly it was that did it? These Toclafane things?" So Leon could mark in his little mental book of things he never wanted to get near ever in his lifetime.

"They were these...I don't know. Looked like marbles, only huge. And there were severed heads inside or something." He frowned, shook his head, then took a drink. "Killed people for sport. Most of them came back after, though. The only way to kill the death balls was electricity." He'd had a gun that shot out electric death shocks, there at the end. That had been pretty cool.

"There were zombies too." Summoned by a demon Dean would rather not think about. "That was a whole different invasion, though. And not much structural damage that time." He sighed. He knew he was probably over loading the guy's mind, but he had been pulled to Colligo, he had to know things were...strange.

"Sounds like mess. I'm kind of glad I wasn't here to see that." It sounded to him like Dean knew a few horror stories of his own.

The zombie comment got his attention though. Leon could still distinctly remember to the smallest detail the first time he ever saw a zombie - Raccoon City, September of ninety eight in the business district. He gave a careful nod. "Well let's just hope no more of those show up." He took a swig of his drink and went on to say, "Can't see an outreak ending well here."
