Who: Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Tenth Doctor
Where: A Public House.
What: So, a Jedi and a Time Lord walk into a bar...
When: Nighttime! This evening.

This was a strange experience. Good, but strange. Normally, Obi-Wan was able to burn off most sorts of drugs that entered his system using the Force, and so it took an extremely large amount of alcohol to even begin to affect him. So when he'd met the Doctor earlier in the day, and they'd begun to commiserate with each other on the fact that they were both "just humans", it somehow slipped his mind that alcohol would now affect him quite easily. Incredibly easily, in actual fact. The fact that "earlier in the day" meant lunchtime was neither here nor there by this point in the evening.

In fact, the most important thing was finishing his story about how he, Quinlan and Garen had... had done something. Something brilliant, really. Oh, kark it, he'd forgotten. Ah well.

"Do we need more alcohol? I like this one, although it does remind me of a raaaaaather nasty species Qui-Gon and I met once. So maybe I shouldn't drink it, I don't know. Do you want another drink?" he asked the Doctor, then glanced at the tabletop that was suddenly full of empty glasses.

"Did we drink all those?!"

The Doctor looked genuinely bewildered at all the glasses spread out before them. He'd been really quite interested in Obi-Wan's story. He was really quite interested in all of Obi-Wan's stories, because they involved other planets and species that he hadn't heard of and there was usually a lot of running around and clever science involved and those always made the best kinds of stories, as far as he could tell. Although there also seemed to be a lot of planets nearly being destroyed as well, and civil wars and so on, which weren't so nice but he supposed you needed to have some kind of conflict for the plot to centre around or you'd end up just going around in circles. Kind of like he was now.

Goodness, was this what being drunk was like? He'd been drunk before, of course - he was nearly 2000 years old. But not for a very, very, very, very long time. He'd forgotten what it was like. He'd forgotten how wobbily everything was. His single heart was beating rather rapidly in his ears and his stomach churned unpleasantly. Stupid human organs. Why didn't they filter anything out properly?

"Yes..." The ex-Time Lord agreed carefully. "Yes. Let's have another drink. You know, I was in a band at the Academy." He frowned, apparently confused by his own random thought tangent. It was horrible being human. He was never this confused normally. He could normally keep up with himself very well. Perhaps he needed another of those swirly straws. Yes, he decided, that would be it.

"You know what I don't like?" The Doctor continued, suddenly weaving a very unsteady route from their table towards the bar itself, which seemed to keep moving positions every time he looked at it. It made it rather difficult to walk in the right direction. "Nothing here makes sense. I don't like how nothiing here makes sense."

"We did. That's alright, though. We'll metabolise them, it's easy. Even normal humans do that. Not like if I, if I still had the Force. Back at the temple, we, we, we used to have training, in the temple, yes? Different drugs and poisons, and we'd have to get rid of them in our bloodstream. With the Force." He missed it. The Force. He always felt so alone when it was gone, despite being surrounded by people, despite living with Yvaine who was breaking all their mugs and cups but at least that meant he knew who had his Force, and he could help her. Even though it felt like he'd lost a limb or one of his other senses. He could have coped with going blind much easier than this, he mused, and then realised the Doctor was saying something.

"A band? Did you sing or play instruments? I can sing, but I, I just, I don't," he replied, then followed the Doctor to the bar. This time, he wanted a blue drink, so it would feel like home a bit more.

"We're surrounded by chaos, as per kriffing usual. Of course nothing makes sense. I don't like that Jedi from my universe's future keep showing up and then vanishing again. Because then, right? Then, when they go, I'm back to being one of the last of the Jedi and that is karking awful," he said with a shrug, before the barman appeared and he was ordering something blue and very alcoholic.
