Who: Lily and Open
What: Shopping
Where: Streets
When: Early afternoon on the third
Rating: TBD, but probably low
Status: Incomplete

Lily didn’t mind working full time at the clothes shop, especially when it came with this kind of reward. She had never really been spoiled as a child, she had been told she had to work to be able to get some sort of treat be it at school or at home whenever she was there. Granted her parents liked to treat her well since she was away most of the year, but never life a Princess or anything. She understood the need to work to be able to get things you liked and in the end it just made the spending more exciting.

After looking at how much she’d have to put by so she could get food for the flat, she managed to find enough to treat herself to some things. She wasn’t sure what yet, after all she didn’t necessarily need anything. It was more just enjoyment, something to relax with and just enable her to be able to buy something new.

And honestly, what girl doesn’t enjoy shopping?

Lexi had been enjoying her time as human, mainly the going out during the day part. After so many years of only being allowed to do things at night, it was an entirely different experience going shopping or what walking around during the day. The types of people that were out were different, for one and it was just nicer.

When she'd first arrived and had needed new clothes, she'd compelled a cashier, which she hadn't felt any guilt over, since it was what she was used to, but for some reason, now that she had money, she felt she should do it the right way. So, today, she was out shopping. She wasn't looking for anything in particular, but she knew something would catch her eye eventually.

Lily's eyes had been so focused on the window she was looking into that she didn't notice anyone near by. It was why she ended up banging into another body when she turned to walk away. She felt guilty straight away and reached out to steady the other person, a woman, just in case she had nearly knocked her over. That was the last thing she wanted.

"I'm so sorry, are you all right?"

This was the worst way to meet someone, obviously, considering some people really didn't take being wandered into at full speed very well. She just hoped that she wasn't too angry.

To be honest, Lexi hadn't really been paying attention either. So, she wasn't exactly surprised to find that she'd walked into someone. "I'm fine. Are you alright? I wasn't paying very much attention." She smiled at the other girl to show that she wasn't angry over the incident and flipped her hair over her shoulder.

"Neither was I," Lily said with a laugh.

She was glad that the other woman seemed fine with it, that she wasn't angry. And it was now she wished that talking to people over the network wasn't so popular, because she felt bad for not knowing if she had really talked to her or not. After all, it was easy to not take much note.

"I'm Lily."

"I'm Lexi." She said, still smiling then glanced at window they were standing in front of, "Doing a little window shopping?" Her eyes scanned the items behind the glass, seeing if anything in particular caught her attention. "Oooh, those boots are cute." She said, more to herself then the other girl, but loud enough that she could still comment.

"For the moment anyway," Lily said with a laugh until Lexi let out an excited sound and pointed out a pair of boots in the window. Lily turned to look at them, tilting her head a little to really take them in before looking back at Lexi.

"Do you want to go in? I was about to anyway."

She wasn't but she felt like making a friend, it was needed in this place at least. Smiling softly she waited on her response.

"Yeah. I wanna see if they have those in my size." Lexi grinned, gesturing for Lily to follow her as she headed for the door, pushing it open and holding it for Lily.

Once inside, they were greeted by an employee and Lexi asked about the boots in the window. "So how long have you been here?" Lexi wasn't sure if Lily was a resident of Colligo or if she was in the same boat as Lexi and asking questions was the quickest way to find out.

She smiled and walked through the door, glancing around the shop as Lexi spoke with th employee. It seemed a nice enough place, and their items were calling for her, but she had to wonder the prices. She may have enough money to buy things but she wasn't willing to splurge too much.

"Not too long. Two months. What about you?"

"About the same. I got here during the forced marriages." If Lily was one of the people who had been brought here, like her, then that should be a perfect opportunity to find out. And if not, then she was bound to recieve an odd look in response.

The employee came back just then, with a show box and handed it to Lexi, "Thanks." Grinning, she sat down on a nearby bench and removed her shoes then proceeded to put on the boots.

"Rubbish time to turn up."

It really was. As thankful as she was for the chance to then meet Donna because of the marriages, it really was annoying to be in pain at times if you tried to get away. And as far as she knew, that wasn't the worse thing to ever happen.

Leaning against the wall behind the seat,Lily watched with a little interest as Lexi tried the boots on. It was strange how this place enabled people to just do something like this straight away. Lily probably wouldn't have gone this far with a stranger back home, but you had to make friends here or it would be a very lonely time.

"They're nice."

"It wasn't so bad. I was was married to Sam Winchester. You know him?" Lexi asked, flexing her ankles as she admired the boots, her legs stuck out in front of her. They were really nice, and why shouldn't she splurge a little on herself?

Biting her bottom lip, she glanced at the employee then back at the boots. If it weren't for the fact that Lily was right there, she definitly would have compelled the man to give them to her, but today she felt like abiding by the law and really, now that she had money, it was burning a hole in her pocket. Putting the boots back in the box, Lexi headed up to the counter.

"I've not spoken a lot to him, but I've seen him on the network."

Lily watched Lexi decide, crossing her arms over her chest. Once the decision was made, Lily followed her to the counter for her to pay the amount for the boots. She wasn't so sure where they could go next, but she was sure they would find somewhere.

"Anywhere else you'd like to go?"

Reaching the counter, it occured to her that even had Lily not been there, she still wouldn't have been able to compell the man, because she was currently human and chances were, she would have only recieved a strange look from him in return.

Paying for the boots, Lexi turned towards the door, "Was there anywhere in particular you were going? Or were you just window shopping till something caught your attention?" Such as the boots that were in the bag Lexi was now carrying.

"Oh I was just wondering until I see something. Not much I'm needing, really."

Even if she wasn't wanting anything it wouldn't stop her buying on impulse. Sometimes the best purchases were made on impulse after all and she would find something to buy. Eventually. Not that she expected Lexi to follow her everywhere, if she was getting bored she was more than welcome to go, she wouldn't feel bad.

"Well, if you don't mind me tagging along, I'd love to wander with you. It's always more fun shopping with someone else." Of course if Lily wanted to go it alone, Lexi would understand and leave her to it. After all, it wasn't like they even really knew each other, but Lexi wanted to try and make some friends here and what better way to do that?

"Of course I don't mind. It's nice to shop with someone, have opinions that don't belong to the girl wanting you to buy it so she can get more money."

It was true. Too often had she bought something she probably wouldn't wear more than once because a shop assistant said it was perfect for her and perfect for a lot of occasions.

"Well then, shall we wander until something catches our eye?" Lexi asked as they began walking down the street, "So, when and where are you from?" Lexi found it facsinating that people here were from different times and places and was quite curious about everything this city had to offer.

"Sure," she agreed, shoving her hands in her pockets as they left the shop and started to walk down the street. She kept glancing into shop windows, getting use to what there were and what they sold. Lexi's question caught her by surprise but it was an understandable question to ask. "1976. And I was at school in Scotland, but I'm from England. Near Mill Town. You?"

"Wow. 1976? Really? That's pretty cool. I liked the seventies. Bell bottoms and flower power." Lexi grinned, glancing at Lily, "I was in Virginia before I came here. 2009 to be exact." Hoping that since this place was quite strange, Lily wouldn't find it the least bit strange that Lexi was from the present, more or less, but had been alive in the seventies as well.

"Perhaps not the greatest of fashions, now I've seen this place. I really prefer the clothes now if I'm perfectly honest."

Lily was confused for a moment by what she said, but it soon made sense. Nothing was normal here, so there was no reason why that wasn't possible. So she simply gave her a smile.

"Sounds lovely. I've never been there."
