Jeremy was bored out of his mind. He'd been sitting in his room all day, waiting for the sun to set so he could actually think about going out, but now it was dark he was at a loss for what to do. He'd talked about hunting animals, but it all seemed a bit gross to him. It was bad enough drinking blood from the bags through those stupid little straws, but at least the blood bags didn't have fur or big, puppy-dog eyes. He shuddered at the thought of trying to pounce on a rabbit or squirrel. Still, he knew he'd go absolutely crazy if he didn't do something.
Going outside was still a risk. He knew there would be people around, and although he'd drunk a couple of blood bags that day, he knew they'd still smell pretty fucking tasty. But he thought he might be starting to get the hang of controlling himself now. He wasn't the mess he had been that first night, at least. He wasn't sitting on the floor of his room surrounded by empty blood bags, so he had to be improving. Elena had said moderation was the key, and he'd been strict with himself the last few days. She'd also given him whiskey to dull the cravings, and he wasn't the sort of person to turn down a drink, especially as Elena would probably never offer it to him under any other circumstances. Being undead had some advantages, apparently.
Pushing himself up off his bed, Jeremy pulled on some shoes and headed out of his room. He needed to get out, although he didn't have a clue where he was going. Maybe he'd find a bar that would serve him and just sit there and brood like the vampires did in the movies. He headed for the door of the appartment, grabbing his leather jacket from the hook on the wall before pulling open the door. He stopped. There was someone standing infront of him on the hallway side of the door. He'd been proccupied with planning his evening to listen out for footfalls up the hall, but now the door was open, there was no way he could miss her. Vicki smelt fucking delicious...
