Who: Castiel and Jo.
What: He wanted to experience drinking as a human.
Where: The Roadhouse.
When: Tonight.
Rating: Fairly low.

The idea of walking was simple as was actually doing it, but the idea that he used to be able to just go where he needed in the blink of an eye was the discerning. Castiel missed the feeling of his Grace and everything else about it. Mostly being able to protect the people closest to him. If something would happen now, he feared he wouldn't be of much assistance.

This plagued his mind as he walked into the bar, actually looking like he would fit in with the place seeing as how when he went with Claire shopping for clothes...he picked things that were similar to what he saw the Winchesters wear. And he wasn't about to complain - Castiel was comfortable in jeans, a shirt, and a thin leather jacket.

But he didn't look the very comfortable when he sat at the bar. He'd only been drinking once before he came to Colligo, and that was in a brothel. Not something Castiel was fond on thinking back about. He was also there to see Jo though, to see how she was fairing. He laced his hands together on the counter and waited patiently for her.

With Gabriel's help, Jo had finally started to get a hold of her powers. His powers. Whichever. She'd managed to heal Sirius's hand without any repercussions, and had popped up in various places when needed, which was kind of a novel experience. She could also feel others, especially when she thought about them, though for some reason it wasn't overwhelming at all. In fact, it was nearly comforting, and there had been a couple times when she wondered how she'd ever gotten by without the ability.

When Cas had taken her up on the offer of a drink finally, she had automatically agreed - after all, why not? She'd spent most of the day resting, after finding out the hard way that with Gabriel's abilities, if you used them too much, you had to recharge. But she went right back to using them after, popping up in her office at the Roadhouse, which she owned, about five minutes before Cas walked in. She tried to only appear and disappear from that room so as not to spook the locals - it was just easier that way.

After he sat at the bar, Jo walked out of the back and smiled as she spotted him, heading over to lean against the counter from the other side. "Hey, Cas."

The smallest of smiles tugged at his face. Castiel couldn't bring himself to stop them lately when they popped up, just assuming that it was apart of the human emotions that were still a little alien to him. "Hello."

Words that were as carefully formed as usual continued to fall from him. "I told Claire I was coming here so she doesn't worry, but she asked I be careful. Although, I don't see any problems that could pop up." It still hadn't exactly clicked that he could potentially get drunk, even if that wasn't his plan for the evening. And there was the fact that he was used to heavily relying on the angel senses and they weren't there anymore, making him think things were okay.
