L nodded; good intuition was a common trait for heroes in stories like Star Wars, and it was actually one the two of them shared. L himself had a gift for telling whether or not people were trustworthy, though he still often second-guessed his initial reactions, especially if they were favorable. A man couldn't be too careful in today's world, especially if a man was a commonly hunted and disliked super detective.
Even though Luke's description of Tatooine was a sparse and dry as the planet itself, L listened raptly. There were almost 7 billion people on the planet then, and two-thirds of the surface was water. The solar system is in the Milky Way Galaxy, and is four or five billion years old, we think... I'm from an island called Britain." What exactly did one tell a Star Wars character about Earth? "It's diverse. We have volcanoes, deserts, tundras, jungles, forests..."
