Who: Faith Lehane, with an appearance by Wes
Where: Streets of Colligo
When: Tonight
What: Faith decides to fight the things on her own, and dies
Rating: High for character death

A restless Slayer was never good. Faith knew that, and she knew that she should have stayed inside. Maybe tapped Wes for some training - though that probably wasn't the best idea because things were still strained there - or talked to Cordy...which would have led to more awkwardness. No, instead, Faith was doing something she knew was stupid, but she couldn't stay cooped up inside any longer. She felt too much like a tiger that had been caged. She needed to be out there, fighting, helping people, stopping the death. A few years ago, she wouldn't have cared - she would have probably even have joined in, encouraging the killing. But now...things had changed. She wasn't the same girl she'd been years ago, in Sunnydale.

Armed with a gun and extra ammo because she knew that knives and stakes wouldn't work against the Toclafane, Faith headed out into the streets. She moved as stealthily as she could, at first, taking shots from time to time, and doing her best not to be corned by a large group of them. Sometimes, she even punched one so that it would slam into the pavement or a building, knocking it out for a time. Then came the moment that she had been expecting, but hadn't been able to avoid. After all, a Slayer had to do what a Slayer had to do.

She felt a blade thrust into her back and a choked gasp escaped her. She didn't cry out, but she did look down at where the point protruded from her chest. As if surprised, she raised a hand towards it, then staggered when it was pulled out, then thrust into her back a second time. Blood trickled from her mouth as she stumbled again, then fell to her knees. The blade was thrust into her back yet again, and this time she fell face down on the street, not even feeling the rough gravel on the pavement as her cheek struck it, hard, nose shattering with the impact. Chocolate eyes stared for a moment as the toclafane flew away, then slowly began to lose their life, glazing over, and leaving Faith staring sightlessly into the air.
