Who: Josie, OPEN
What: Working
Where: Music store
When: Late morning
Warnings: None at the moment

Josie had a goal. One singular goal that she would work to attaining at any cost. An Ipod. What had been a mere magazine piece about a new musical revolution back home was staring out from her in all it's tiny, shiny glory in the here and now at the music store she had found a job at. She hated to admit it, but Alexander had been right about something. It was revolutionary. The amount the sleek sliver thing the size of her hand could hold was absolutely mind boggling to her. She could put all her favourite cd's, the ones she liked, the ones she sort of liked and the ones she probably would never listen to but she could put them on none the less and STILL have room left over. It truly was a magnificent device.

One she would take working with the pod people for. Josie wasn't much of a questioner, she tended to go with the flow and adapt but even she couldn't not ask questions about her new home. Questions to which she got the frustrating none answers from the people in the city, other than the ones who were in the same boat as her at least. Pod people. Total pod people she had decided.

Pod people who listened to Celine Dion which was like hell on earth. Josie had never been so happy to see someone leave as she was when her co worker left and she could veto the Celine. She quickly swapped in Joan Jett's Bad Reputation and started singing along as she stacked cds and put them back in their appropriate places.

Henry had woken up in the room where Edward slept. It wasn't any place of Edward's that Henry knew. He frowned, upon waking, and realising he was in a strange place. "What the hell are you up to, Edward," he muttered aloud. He prowled the room, looking for something to go on, something that would tell him...something, about Edward's latest mission.

He seemed to have a room mate, which Henry assumed was Raymond, but if it was Raymond, he wasn't around. Henry sat around a while, waiting, waiting for...something. But nothing was happening, and Henry grew bored, and restless.

He headed outside, keeping to shadows, trying to keep a low profile in case Edward would be recognised. He stopped to get himself a coffee and a pastry, then headed over to the music store. He stepped inside, the throb of Joan Jett's Bad Reputation instantly recogniseable, taking him back to his college years.

He smiled. "Nice choice," he murmured, looking up the the speaker system.

Josie looked over at Henry as she heard someone talk to her and nodded a little with a grin. If she was embarrassed about being caught singing along at work she surely didn't show it, mostly because she wasn't. She figured after the sold out show Fionna had set up she could deal with anything. "Yeah, Joan's basically my personal hero."

She stuck a cd into its rightful place and then looked back at Henry. "Anything I can help you find?"

ooc: ooops, picked the wrong personality name to use, lol, sorry

"You could do worse," Henry commented. He smiled a little. He liked Joan Jett. She reminded him of a simpler time.

"I'm not looking for anything specific, just came in to get out of the heat." He shrugged. "You have any suggestions?"

She stuck the last cd away and rocked back on heels for a moment thinking his question over. "Uhm.." she grinned brightly and then grabbed Green Day's American Idiot. "This is new to me, apparently I'm a couple years behind or something, and I liked it when I gave it a listen."

She reached for a cd from the other side of the aisle. "Or if you're looking for something more classic you can never go wrong with a little Iggy," she offered and held up Lust for Life. "They've got pretty decent selecting here, though I swear my co worker seems to think there's nothing outside the Celine Dion spectrum, I am pretty much in easy listening hell when she's around."

Henry shivered at the thought of Celine Dion. She had some tolerable songs, but for the most part, her voice grated on his nerves. "Good thing she's not playing now, I might have turned around and walked out." He smiled a little. "Iggy's good. I like Iggy." He nodded, taking the CD from her hand. "I'll take it."

Green Day wasn't one of his favorites. That was more Edward's style, and Henry liked to avoid things that reminded him of his alter ego.

"Trust me it took everything in me not to do the same," she confided in him with a grin. "But the pod person likes Celine for some God awful reason and I'm poor so Celine it is."

"Awesome, you won't regret it," she promised as he took the cd. "Did you want to keep looking around or I can ring you up?"

Yeah, this'll be all, today. But I'll probably come back." Henry nodded. He headed toward the cash register. "Joan Jett really is so much better than Celine." He smiled, and if she looked close, his finger was keeping the beat of the music.

Unlike some of the other vampires here, sunlight did not affect Nissa in the way most probably assumed it did--not that anyone really knew the raven-haired beauty craved the taste of blood. She wasn't a hunter of humans, nor was she a monster. Nissa was merely the victim of a bad situation turned worse that she would spend the immortal life she was cursed with trying to make up for. The sunlight was annoying, yes, but she happily suffered through it--especially if it meant she was going to get her hands on something new to listen to. She'd sold a few of her paintings and made a pretty penny from them and fully intended to spend it.

Stepping into the store, Nissa wore her best friendly smile and strolled up to the counter. "Excuse me?"

Josie glanced up from the Rolling Stone magazine she had started flipping through at the counter when things got a little slower and returned Nissa's smile. Retail came easy to Josie, she for the most part didn't mind people and she really didn't have many qualms about interacting with them. And she figured with being stuck here it wasn't like she had anything better to do. "Can I help you find something?"

Being in here and seeing the various posters from different periods of time lining the wall is like taking a stroll down memory lane and taking a quick glimpse at all the eras she's lived through since the Civil War. It makes that friendly smile on her face brighter, recalling all the wonderful moments she was lucky enough to experience.

She pushes those thoughts aside to focus on the woman who answered her. "See, I'm at a loss for what I want, exactly." Nissa loved music in general and it was difficult for her to say which genre was her favorite. "What's popular at the moment?"
