Who: Crowley and Open
What: Trying to leave
Where: In front of the library
When: This evening
Warnings: None, yet. Will update if necessary.

He'd heard all the warnings (now that sound was back loud and clear), but he really didn't see how it could apply to him. he was a demon, after all, one of the original Fallen Angels. Except, he hadn't fallen, really. he's merely Sauntered vaguely Downward. It worked out to roughly the same thing, but he held tight to the fact there was a difference. He hadn't done anytihng to warrant the Fall, except love his brother unconditionally, more than the Lord could say, at the end of the day.

In any case, he'd been content to sit around and watch the citizens of the city, for a while. He found the enforced silence amusing, though he had grown annoyed by the time it ended. And then he'd been amused to watch them all return to some sort of semblance of a normal life. As if there was anything normal about this town. It was far more sinister than anytihng Crowley had come up with, which left him a little bit peeved.

No matter. he was about to put it all behind him. He was on his way out, until he found himself back in the library, where it all began, with the humourless tin soldiers. Frowning, Crowley was deposited back on the streets in the center of town. Oh, he did not like this, not one little bit.

Death hadn't been overly social since Q had convinced her to leave her gallery. It was odd, socialising regularly with the people she would one day collect. For the most part, in the past, she had kept such associations to a minimum. There were, of course, exceptions, but those were hardly the norm. That's why they were called exceptions. Being here was different. She sat outside the library, a floppy hat on her head, and couldn't help but smile as she saw Crowley exit. Since she knew he'd already been here, she figured he'd tried to leave. That was always an interesting experience.

"You could do that all day," she told him cheerfully, by way of greeting, "and it wouldn't change anything. Of course, it would be interesting to watch." She tilted her head to the side. "And how are you, Crowley?" She certainly wasn't what he would expect Death to be, but there was a difference between the Horseman and Death herself.

"Is that so?" Crowley asked. He was amused, at this point. he hadn't been sent back to the library, and the stone faced guards, enough to be aggravated. Yet.

"And what do you know of it?" he asked, looking her over. There was something oddly familiar about her, though what it was, he couldn't quite place. He felt like he knew her, or should know her. He was nearly certain she wasn't a demon, at least not one he'd ever encountered. Demons weren't typically so...well, cute.

"That's so," Death said with a grin. "That's just how this place is. Even you can't leave it." She shrugged. "But it can be fun, if you relax and just enjoy it."

"I know everything," she said, then shook her head. "That sounds awful...really, it does. Let's try that again, shall we? I'm Death, but you can call me Didi." She looked around. "And this place...well, it's complicated."

"Colligo, I know." Crowley shifted his head, in such a way to mimic rolling his eyes, since he couldn't actually roll them. "Just seems like we should be above and beyond all that nonsense," he shrugged. Death. So, that explained the familiarity.

"Odd. I always pictured Death more like Johnny Cash." Another shrug. Cash was one of his favorites. He'd take credit for grooming the Man in Black, to becoming what he had become. An iconic legend of sex, drugs, and...country music. When country was still cool.

"We should, but sometimes a humbling experience can be good for the soul." Truth be told, she could probably leave if she really put her mind to it, but she was enjoying it here. There was good company, and these people did seem to require so much looking after. Maybe she'd leave, eventually, but not quite yet.

"Oh, I like his music," she said with a grin. "And he had such an interesting life too. He was a special one, Johnny. I liked his style a lot. That certainly would be a cool look, but nope...I'm me." She cocked her head to the side. "Sorry to disappoint. Maybe if I ever decide to go for a new look, I'll try that though. But enough about me. How are you settling in?"

"He was one of mine," Crowley announced, as if it were shocking news. He felt a little smug about most things he claimed to have a hand in. He shrugged a moment after, thoughts tending to wander off in a thousand directions at once.

"So, Didi. What's your take on this place?" He waved a hand, and felt his wings flutter restlessly agianst his back.
