Who: Rose and Aaron
What: A get to know you chat
When: Evening, after the sound was brought back
Where: Their apartment
Rating: TBD
Status: Incomplete

Rose was curious, she always had been. It was part of her personality, if she didn't know about something curiousity soon got the better of her. And it was nothing different when it came to her room mate. She hadn't even seen him, not that it would do much good since until now they wouldn't have been able to talk unless they wrote something down. And well, writing wasn't the best way to get to know someone. After all, how could she find out if he was telling the truth or not? She had gotten quite good at that recently, telling if someone was lying just by looking at them in the eye. But now that the sound was back, and she would be able to have a good chat with him, well it seemed the best opportunity to get to know him.

He had told her he was at work, something she realised she'd soon have to look into for herself, so she set about making tea. Boiling the kettle, she stood looking down at the floor, her thoughts running through her head. She had to get back, she knew that much, but her instincts were telling her that wouldn't be happening any time soon. She would just have to deal with this place. For now anyway, she didn't plan in staying here longer than she had to. And hopefully that was only a short amount of time.

"What if she doesn't like us?" Gabriel's tail wagged both impatiently and excitedly as he turned his golden head to look up at his owner. He'd already darted up ahead of Aaron twice before, in a hurry to properly see the new roommate. He'd seen her around and had watched her closely a few times, for Aaron's sake. Because Gabe always sought to protect Aaron. And she'd seem very nice. And she was very pretty.

Aaron, however, didn't seem in a rush to go anywhere. He'd spent over a year of his life in a rush and he sought to just relax and enjoy as much he could. Like the fact that the music shop he worked at had stayed open when the sound had gone. He'd seen people mentioning how dumb it was on the boards but it had just amused Aaron. He'd gone to work when he was supposed to, and had just sat there, either reading a magazine or rolling a ball back and forth with Gabe. There had been no hurry and there had been no issue. Besides he liked his job. And he could read. So he'd read through the cases of music, music videos, and magazines.

He had taken his time at work and left when he was supposed to, despite Gabe's insistance. "I think she'll like you fine, Gabe." There was a slightly amused chuckle in his voice as he replied his dog.

"She'll like you too Aaron." Gabe said loyally. It really wouldn't have bothered Aaron much if she didn't. But it would, he knew, make things easier of they could at least get along. Aaron was kinda like his dog in that manner. Friendly to everyone at least at first, or at least polite. And he'd always noticed her around boards, though he didn't typically go on that often himself, she seemed nice enough. So taht was good.

Gabe, of course, was in front of the door before Aaron and Aaron gave a tiny, open-mouthed grin to his dog, as he managed not to roll his eyes. Before unlocking. "Stay." He warned Gabe quietly lest he go barrelling in. Before he announced himself. "Rose? It's me Aaron," Never hurt to state the obvious, especially after those Gentlemen who'd been able to enter without key and without question.

Rose jumped as she heard a voice, turning and putting a hand on her chest. She had been so lost in thought that she hadn't heard him walking in. Laughing a little at herself, she looked at the floor, trying to will her heart to stop. Looking up, she grinned a little at Aaron.

"Sorry, lost in my thoughts a little there," she pushed her hair back behind her ears before looking back at Aaron. "Would you like some tea?"

Turning back to the kettle, she set about making herself one, waiting on his response. He seemed nice enough, introducing himself before walking too close. It was nice, to have a man who seemed this polite. Now she had to wait to see his dog.

"It's alright." Aaron said as he closed the door behind him, "I should have made more noise." Walking away from the door, only pausing once so that he wouldn't trip over the dog rushing to see their new roommate. He looked up from giving Gabe an amused expression, to give Rose a tiny smile. "Thanks. That sounds nice."

"Gabe likes tea too, please" Turning his head to look back at Aaron, the dog asked, "Do I like tea, Aaron?". Not even giving Aaron a chance to raise his brows in bemusement, he shuffled carefully to Rose. She had said she was okay with him being around but you never knew with humans. Maybe she had been being that thing called 'polite'. "It's very nice to meet you" Gabe said, unconsciously giving Rose big, doggie eyes as he sat down a few feet away from her.

Gabe had gotten so used in the past year and then some, to Aaron and other nephilim and Angels understanding him he tended to forget that all Rose would hear was very excited barking.

Rose nodded when he agreed to the tea, grabbing a mug for him. Of course, she didn't know how he liked it, but she could at least start pouring and let him finish it. It was strange, making tea for someone who she didn't know. She was too used to making tea on automatic and knowing instantly what the other person wanted. Shaking her head, she brought herself out of the strange train of thought to hear barking. Looking down, Rose grinned at the dog beside her. Her heart almost instantly melted, and she knelt down, reaching out to run her hands gently over his head.

"You must be Gabe. Aren't you gorgeous."

She had to admit, the cute eyes would in future be a downfall for her, but she already knew she'd love this dog as long as she was here.

"Yeah, Gabe's not so bad looking" Gabe said as he leaned into Rose's hand, already making up his mind about her and it was definitely good.

"Seems like he likes you." Aaron smiled slightly, as he stated the obvious. Walking more into the room, he asked, "Do you need help with that?" He asked, gesturing slightly toward the tea. She had offered but she didn't have to do it all. He could pour it himself and such. He didn't want her feeling as if she had to do it.

Rose grinned a little at Aaron's words, running her hands more over Gabe's fur.

"If you like, I don't know how you like it after all."

She stood up, giving Gabe one last pat, before walking over to the kettle, waiting to see if he'd help or just tell her what he likes in his tea. Pouring hers to start with, she waited patiently, tempted to just kneel down and pet Gabe again. It was nice knowing that the dog seemed to have no problem with her.

"I'm not a big tea drinker, but my mom does make it from time to time." Aaron said as he moved into kitchen and pulled out a small spoon for himself to take some sugar. "I'm not really picky about what goes into it." Aaron wasn't a really picky person, period. Life in foster homes did that to a person, often times it was get what they give you or get nothing at all. "Plus, you don't have to do everything." He said with a small smiles. He might not always be the most talkative, but he had spades in good manners.

Gabe followed Aaron, tail wagging, before finding himself a good spot to watch the humans interact, laying down in a manner to be seen but out of the way, his eyes followed their every movement.

"I'm used to drinking tea pretty much all the time. Mum pretty much insisted on it."

She began to finish off her own tea, adding the milk and sugar to her own. She spotted Gabe, his eyes watching their every move. It was slightly creepy, she had to admit, but she was sure most animals done such a thing when their owners were talking to strangers.

"So how long have you had Gabe?"
