Chekov entered the apartment and, taking his roommate's advice, was careful of the cord. Once he had gotten out of the range where he could have tripped over it, he looked around the room, smiling when he spotted a girl standing not too far off.
"You must be Wiolet," he said, the grin still in place. Thanks to his thick Russian accent, Chekov had a terrible time trying to pronounce the "v" sound that is so common in the English language. "I'm Pavel Chekov." And with that he headed towards her, offering his hand to shake.
