Phillipa was excited. She loved having people who would play with her, and while Mordred was picking up on the games she taught him pretty quickly, some games were more fun with more than two people! Even if the extra people were grown ups. So when Mr. Dean had said that he was good at hide and seek, well then Phillipa absolutely wanted him to play with her and Mordred. She was happy when Miss Molly had offered to help her find Dean, because while Phillipa was very good at the game, she didn't even know where to start looking for Dean. So after getting her mommy's permission, she had waited for Molly to pick her up so they could find him.

On the way to wherever it was that Dean was hiding, Phillipa did her best to teach Molly the French song her mommy had taught her and Mordred, and was singing it again as they stepped into a hallway of one of the buildings. When the older girl stopped her in front of a door, the verse that Phillipa was singing flew out of her head and she looked up at the door, then at Molly. "He's hiding in there? But how do you know? Usually I can see Mordred's shoes or his shadow or something, but I can't see through a door, can you?" Suddenly, the little girl got very excited. "Do you have X-Ray eyes like Superman??"

Yes, using her powers to find Dean was technically cheating. Molly knew it and wouldn't deny that fact. However she couldn't help but think that it might be a little good for him to meet Phillipa in person, and also thought the little girl had been through enough recently that she deserved a break. If she wanted to play a game, why not appease her? It wasn't as though she was asking for much.

Finding Dean had been easy and Molly had enjoyed listening to the song Phillipa had learned. She barely remembered the sound of her own mother's voice, singing to her when she was little, and it warmed her heart to know this girl had been given a second chance with hers. Smiling down at the child at the excitedly asked series of questions, she shook her head.

"Nope," she said with a broad smile, touching the end if Phillipa's nose as she added, "his name's on the sign by his door, silly." She laughed lightly as she pointed to the sign, conveniently skipping over how she'd known which apartment was his. With any luck, the girl would be too excited at having found Dean to ask any further.

Hoping to speed the process along a little to ensure just that, Molly wasted no time in knocking before giving the girl an excited look. "I bet he's going to be really surprised to see you!" she exclaimed as she stepped aside a bit to give the girl front and center, waiting for the door to open.

	Dean had no idea who was knocking at his door. He figured it was Cas or jade, his younger self was a possibility. He did not expect to see the pint sized hide and seeker from the message boards. He looked down at her, and blinked. "Oh, hell. You found me." He made his tone sound disappointed. "In my own apartment. Aren't you a clever one?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Phillipa wanted to ask how Molly had known where Dean's apartment had been but before she could ask the question, Molly knocked on the door. Phillipa smiled brightly at the older girl, then turned to the door and started to bounce on her toes as she waited for it to open. When it finally did, she smiled brightly again, this time at the tall man who stood in the doorway. "Hi! If I'm a shortstack, are you a bigstack?" It was a question that had been bugging her ever since he told her what the word meant. "Or a tallstack? Or is that what Mr. Sam is because he's super tall?"

While she waited for an answer, she peeked in between his legs into his apartment, curious. "Do you have any toys?"

"No," Dean shook his head. He had pretty much nothing, and certainly not toys that would be appropriate for a child. He wondered why she'd spoken to him on the boards. She was a cute kid, her parents should have taught her not to talk to strangers. He wasn't going to do anything immoral, but others would. He had seen first hand just how immoral a man could fall, and faced with this smiling pillar of innocence, the memory of it made him shiver.

He saw the older girl with her, and assumed it was a sister. He nodded to her. "You two should run along."

Molly had stayed quiet, allowing Phillipa to have the spotlight and simply observing the situation. She had to admit, she felt a little bad for Dean. Just showing up at his door, with a small child, was certainly amusing but she knew it likely wasn't easy for him either. However he had made a deal with the girl that he'd play with her if she found him. A deal that, apparently, he was intending on breaking.

She couldn't believe it. For a split second following his statement they should run along, she simply stood there and stared at him in disbelief. He was actually going to break a deal with an innocent little girl because why? He didn't want to play a game with her? He'd rather disappoint her terribly and all but lie to the girl than play a simple game?

Oh, that wasn't going to do at all.

"Run along?" she echoed, her tone indignant. "She found you, fair and square. We aren't just running along. You two have a deal." Her arms crossed over her chest and her chin rose a notch as she stared at him, waiting for his response.

"What deal? I don't remember a deal." Dean gave Molly a look over his nose. He knew exactly what the deal was, he remembered it well. He just hadn't really expected the kid to find him.

He wasn't trying to be an ass, he just didn't really know what he was supposed to do. He hadn't even seen a child as young as Phillipa for several years. The elderly and the young were the first to fade away, after...well, Dean really didn't want to think about that.

Phillipa looked up at him, only slightly disappointed that he didn't have any toys. "It's okay that you don't have any. I can give you some of mine to play with, okay?" When he told them to run along, she got a confused look on her face, before her eyes got really big as she stared up at him.

"But you promised! If I found you then we would play hide and seek! You're supposed to come play with me and Mordred now." She reached up for his hand since it was within close reach and gave a small tug. "Please Mr. Dean? You promised!"

"Yeah, but I didn't think you'd actually find me." Dean spared a look at Molly. He knew good and well Phillipa wouldn't have found him on her own. "Besides, I don't think this is Mordred." He drew his gaze back to Phillipa.

He really wasn't trying to be a jerk. He wasn't trying to disappoint the kid. He just really didn't know what to do. "It's been a long time, since I played hide and seek." At least, an innocent child version. he'd played hide and seek with plenty of creepy crawly things over the years.
