Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Regulus and Hannah
What: Meeting for the first while Regulus marvels at sliced bread.
When: Yesterday (Wednesday) Evening
Where: At a grocery store
Rating/Warnings: Low, maybe mild swearing
Status: In progress, closed.

Grocery stores, such quaint, plebeian things. Regulus knew of them, he'd just never set foot inside one. All those domestic, house keeping things were Kreacher's job and Regulus had never had to worry his pretty little aristocratic head about something so menial. In a way that could only tickle the fancy of someone so blue blooded Regulus was somewhat entertained by the displays.

He was living with Merlin for the time being, and Merlin seemed to expect Regulus to be somewhat responsible and Regulus, having given some thought to this, had decided to surprise Merlin by taking some responsible initiative. Which was why, when they ran out of bread, because Regulus had consumed most of it, obviously, Regulus decided, instead of just waiting for Merlin to go get some he would replenish their supply.

Regulus, however, was confused. There were a lot of options, more than he thought were necessary, in fact. For the life of him he couldn't remember what brand Merlin had previously purchased. And he stood mulling over the matter, eating some kind of candy labeled just by the letter M - a package he'd pulled off the shelf and opened in store.

Hannah was also at the grocery store, picking up a few things that she'd run out of, she suspected because Sirius had come over and helped himself to them. She hadn't expected him to stop popping by to take whatever it was he wanted, just because the sexual aspect of their relationship was over. She'd made it clear when she'd told him that was over that she was still his friend. And Hannah was. Despite his womanizing ways, Hannah found him charming and fun.

She was thinking over her day when she rounded the corner and saw what she thought was the back of a familiar head. What was he doing here? Hannah sincerely doubted he knew what a grocery store even was, much less what was in them. She didn't bother to verify the tall brunette man's identity before she brushed past him, knocking a light elbow into his ribs to get his attention. "You're supposed to pay for those before you eat them, Black."

Regulus jumped to the side, displeasure would be registered on his face if he wasn't now coughing from practically choking on the candy he was trying to eat. He couldn't stand people touching him without his permission, to do so was crossing a line.

With appropriate space between them he assessed the person addressing him. He had no clue who she was, had never seen her before in his life, and he was sure that he'd not spoken to her on network. But she apparently knew him so either she'd read those books or she was from the future part of his world, maybe both.

It was an egregious understatement to say Regulus had trust issues, his default was to proceed with extreme caution.

"I don't know you," his voice was level if a bit touched with accusation, "who are you?"
