WHO: Chris Halliwell and Peter Petrelli
WHAT: Feelings! and some stuff.
WHERE:
WHEN: Today!
STATUS: Closed/Incomplete
RATINGS: Probably PG-13 Chris cusses.

Chris couldn't say he was as bothered by the truth spell as most of the rest of Colligo's transplanted inhabitants. He didn't talk to many people outside of Peter, and at times his family, to neither of which he lied to. Chris might not have been an advocate of the words 'the truth will set you free' but he had no reason to be dishonest with Peter. And Chris tended to be - as bad as it was - dishonest for a reason; otherwise he was sarcastic, at times even blunt. His family back home could attest to that.

That being said, that didn't mean there weren't some things that Chris would have rather kept to himself. There were a world of things that Chris would have rather kept to himself. Things ranging from his not finding their dino-pet as annoying as he pretended (not that Peter hadn't figured that one out on his own. But it was the principle of the thing), to certain things regarding his relationship with the other man, all the way to Chris' numerous insecurities that still managed to linger around his best efforts.

When people began simply speaking their minds without any restrictions or filters, the youngest Halliwell son had began to sweat. More than just a little.

He wasn't proud to say that he avoided Peter more than a little. Rather unburdoning himself, much to his annoyance, to complete strangers. There was a moment when Chris had a very deep and tearful moment with a squirrel. He was cranky, he was testy, and he was ready to knock someone out. What he wouldn't give for a demon to vanquish. For some unknown force to research and consentrate on. With the promise of a vanquish.

All he had was work. And the feeling that Peter might be starting to realize that Chris really wasn't looking forward to heart to heartfelt moments. Chris was typically not bad at all at the avoiding game - unless your name was Leo - but with his current mood it wouldn't be a surprise that he was slipping.

It wasn't that he didn't love Peter. He did. Or trust the other man. The fact that it was diffcult for Chris to open up to anyone. The only person he ever tended to do it easily with was his grandpa Victor. Everyone Chris tended to be vulnerable around tended to die or desert him. While he had made strides with his time in the past with his family and here, in Colligo, with his boyfriend. It was still very difficult.

He wanted this to work far too much to end up saying something that would have Peter --

Chris just didn't want to think, let alone talk, about it.

Head bowed, hands in his pocket, a forlorn look on his face, Chris made his way back home from work toward the apartment he shared with Peter.
