WHO: Marian and Robin
WHAT: Truth fun times
WHEN: Early evening, after Marian's 'work'
WHERE: Their flat
RATING: TBA
STATUS: In progress.

Marian could certainly not keep the smile from her face. That had certainly been the most interesting talk followed by the the reason she had such a grin. They were nearly home, and she was sure she had some mud over her but she was finding it hard to care right now. With one last squeeze to his hand, she pulled him in for a slow but far from chaste kiss. She blamed what happened in the stables, that was why she was suddenly unable to keep her hands from him. They had nearly been caught as well and Marian was unsure what would have happened then but at least it didn't happen.

"How are you feeling?"

She couldn't help but ask that when she pulled back from the kiss. Not being able to lie certainly made things rather amusing. She just hoped that was all, and that nothing bad would come of this like the recent things that had happened here.

The smile on Marian's face was absolutely gorgeous, not that she ever looked anything but. And right now, for the first time in several weeks, his mood was a match for hers. They had just spent a good deal of time enjoying each others company far better than they had been able to in quite a while, thanks to the oddities of this place.

Her question had him pausing, not only because it came out of the blue, but because he was struck by the urge to answer her, and with complete honesty, as well. They had obviously once again been affected. Only this time, it was not just him, but Marian as well.

"I am feeling wonderful," he grinned, reaching over to wipe some mud off her cheek once they were inside and he had shut the door behind them. "What about you?" He asked with a cheeky expression and a raised eyebrow.

She giggled at the touch to her cheek. Had she been walking back in that state? She kind of hope she did. She didn't know why part of her loved that people would see their grins and then see the state they were both in and know they were honestly just hopelessly in love. And enjoyed each other very much.

"I feel incredible," she said with a grin, almost hating the truth being said but she couldn't. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she continued to grin at him. "More than incredible."

She had never said to the full extent how she's felt after moments together with him and she had no idea why she hadn't. Because he deserved to hear just how he makes her feel. Leaning in, her lips came to his again.

He didn't bother suppressing the laugh at what she said. "I can tell," he grinned, leaning over to kiss the cheek he had just removed the smudge of mud from, before moving lower to kiss her more soundly.

Reaching for one of her hands he took it, walking back a few steps. "The real question is. With no secrets between us, what will we talk about?" With a somewhat mischievous look, he eyed her.

"Did you think I made an attractive woman?" He asked, not able to stop laughing yet again at the words.

She laughed softly before returning the kiss, her hand going to his with ease. Her laugh continued once he began to question her on topics, but she had hardly enough time to respond before he was asking another question. She hated this truth thing for a moment and she had the urge to slap him across the back of the head.

"Yes, actually," she said, though once the words were out of her mouth there was a glare being sent at him. "Did you think you made a more attractive woman than me?"

Now he had to be careful. Of course, the truth will always be said and she would try not to be upset if he said what she thought, that he was indeed more attractive than her. She knew she was not bad looking but she didn't compare to some women.

He grinned brightly at the mutinous glare she shot him, even though she had answered. It was hilarious, and yet at the same time he was unsurprised when she retaliated with a question of her own. You get what you give, and he had known she would ask something along those lines.

Conveniently for him, the truth would only set him free, in this instance. "No one is more attractive than you," he told her with complete honesty (all he could manage at the moment).

"Really?"

She asked that with no hidden agenda, it was purely that small part of her that was insecure coming out. She knew he was telling the truth, and would know that even if he wasn't being forced to. She knew what he thought about her in most ways. But there was still the young teenage girl who had been left behind by the man she loved.

"And you know I think the same of you don't you?"

"Yes, really." His tone conveyed how crazy he thought the question was. As far as he was concerned, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, or known. Anyone who disputed it was simply misguided.

"I do know you think that," he answered her question, unable to do anything else. Even if it was that they were simply biased by their love for one another, it was the truth in their own eyes. And that was what counted.

As he considered another question to ask, he pushed down the traitorous urge to question her about Gisborne, and instead, asked, "Are you happy here?"

"I'm glad you know," she said with a smile, pulling him in for a kiss before laughing and pulling a bit of hay from his hair she hadn't noticed.

They sat silently for a moment before he questioned her again. She had to wonder why he felt the need to ask that question, surely he knew? But if he felt like he had to be reassured then the truth that she had to say, and would have said, would settle him.

"Of course I am. I am happier than I have been for a while. I'm with you."

He smiled when she pulled the hay from his hair, leaning down to kiss her once again after she did. Her answer didn't really surprise him. In reality, he had known that was how she felt, but it was good to hear her say the words in an instance when she could say nothing but the truth. It was no secret that they were not always the best at being honest with one another.

Reaching across he took one of her hands as he shifted so he was leaning against the arm of the couch, facing her. Glancing down at their joined fingers for a minute, he then once again met her gaze. "Do you like my cooking?" He asked with a smirk, knowing she would have been expecting a serious question.

She stepped closer when he leaned against the couch, watching him with her lower lip between her teeth. She was worried that he would end up asking something that may have a negative affect on them. But then he was smirking and his question made her want to hit him again.

"It could do with a lot of work, but it is not too bad."

She hated him right now. She just hoped he didn't take offense.

His jaw dropped as he stared at her, shocked. "You told me you like my cooking," he said around a laugh, not taking the subject too seriously. She had done, he remembered, one day when she had worked later than him, and he had cooked for her.

He knew that he was not an expert, but he had thought what he'd made was perfectly respectable. Deciding he could get the perfect revenge for that one, he went on to ask another question, a wicked gleam in his eyes. "What else have you lied about recently?"

"I do! It's just...not the best. You could make it better, just have to keep practicing."

But he was also laughing so she knew he wasn't too upset over it. She wanted to ask him something but before she could he was questioning her. Oh no, that was not fair. She glared at him and shoved his arm before remembering her most recent lie.

"When I said I didn't mind how many children we have. That's a lie. I would like more than two but no more than five."

"I don't think so. Since you're not a fan of mine, you can take over the cooking from now on. 'Not the best', indeed," he laughed.

He grinned, unapologetic and not bothered in the least when she shoved him. Though he was interested in the answer she gave. Not because that was apparently a lie, but because he'd thought she had already made it clear she did care how many children they had. She had made no secret, he thought, of the fact of how many she wanted. "Five is, I think, a good stopping point," he laughed, half in jest.

Still, if she thought she had lied, he was glad she'd brought it up. Though he did not particularly want to linger on any serious topics.

"My cooking is good anyway," she said with a grin. She had said it now, the truth about his cooking, so she might as well continue.

She laughed at his comment on five, nodding. She really did not want to have more than that. Partly the exhaustion, partly the pain. Yes she had heard from many mothers that it is worth it but there was still pain involved.

"And what about you? What have you lied about recently?"

"It can be," he agreed mischievously. He was still being honest, he was just able to draw on those occasions early on when it hadn't improved to the point that it was at now, to say that.

He'd been waiting for that question, ever since he had asked the same one. "Very unoriginal," he teased, partly because it was true (and he liked to tease), but also to gather his thoughts.

"I told you I liked my job," he finally admitted. "That was a lie. I've been looking for something else."

"More often than yours," she said with a teasing smile, moving so she was leaning against him now.

He was right, she was being unoriginal with her question but it was an honest and fair question to ask. He got to ask her something like that so why shouldn't she? What she heard she hadn't expected but it could have been worse.

"Why didn't you say?"

"That's just because I haven't had as many chances to try out my skills in the kitchen as you," he responded with a grin, slipping an arm around her as she leaned against him.

He shrugged at her question. "There wasn't really a reason. It wasn't all that important. And you didn't have one, so I couldn't just quit," he explained." He wasn't blaming or judging her in the slightest, it was just the way things had been for a time there. "Someone had to pay for your ice cream addiction."

"Then perhaps I best allow you more time in the kitchen from now on, my love."

She rolled her eyes when he mentioned the ice cream, poking his stomach before looking up into his eyes. She could take more hours, would be happy to, and he hopefully knew that. Smiling, she kissed his nose and ran her fingers through his hair. She would do anything she had to for him.

"How about you leave and find something you prefer. I don't mind if that's what you would rather?"

"I'd hate to burden you with my cooking that is in such desperate need of improvement," he grinned.

He laughed when she poked his stomach, and poked her side in response, laughing when she kissed his nose. "It's a nice suggestion, but I'd rather stay where I am, until I find something. I'm bored now, but it will just be worse if I'm not doing anything." If he was honest, and at the moment he couldn't help but be, it was the lack of excitement, the lack of adventure, that was getting to him. This quiet life was not at all one he was accustomed to. Unlike Marian, he had not spent much time living in his home, dealing with day to day life.

"And it wont be improved until you practice."

She giggled at the poke in return, batting his hand away. He had the unfair advantage of knowing that she was ticklish there. And it really wasn't fair that he was very much aware of this because it certainly could be used against her. Biting her lip, she nodded, almost instantly knowing why he wouldn't leave the job. At least it was something to do.

"Are you happy here?" she asked quietly, just like he had asked her earlier. He was so use to his adventures and such other things that she was worried that this wasn't enough for him.

He laughed at the giggle, poking her again, just because he could. That sort of laugh from her was a much more carefree sound than any he remembered from before they had come here. It was a testament to the fact that she really was happy here, that the lack of so many things to worry about was doing her some good.

He was thinking about that when she asked her question. "Yes, I'm happy," he answered. He was happy, mostly because she was. "A bit bored," he added, because he had to, "but happy."

"Stop it!" she said with a laugh when he poked her side again, moving to grab his hand to try and stop him from doing it another time. Lacing their fingers together, she kept a very tight grip on his hand to try and prevent him from being able to pull away and tickle her again.

"Well how could we stop your boredom?"

She smiled up at him, glad that he was happy. She understood the boredom, she was only not so bored because she was kept busy keeping things nice for Robin and working with the horses.

The grin stayed in place at the continued laughter, but he didn't resist when she grabbed his hand, not bothering to pull away.

"You already do a fine job of stopping my boredom," he said in response when she looked up at him. "As for the rest of it...I'll just find something else to do, a different job, or something to occupy the rest of my time. Anyway, this is not nearly as fun as asking you questions," he said with a grin, changing the subject.

"Just what did you used to get up to during the day, when you weren't working?" He asked mischievously.

"I'm glad. And the offer for you to leave and then start searching is still there. I am sure you'll find something."

At his grin she gave him a warning look. She didn't know why she was bothering, after all if he had the idea in his head it was very likely to happen. Especially with them having to speak the truth. The question he asked combined with the look on her face made her give him an annoyed gaze.

"Whatever kept me busy, depended on the day."

"I'd rather stay where I am for now. It's not as though I don't have time to look, I'm not working too hard." Compared to the way his time was spent back at home, it felt as though his days were spent doing practically nothing, in fact.

His grin took on a certain wicked edge at her response. "Give me an example," he requested innocently.

"Of course. Is there anything you ned me to do to help?"

She squeezed his hand before moving her free hand to rest on the couch beside him as she leaned against him a little more. And his grin really made her want to shove him over the arm of the couch and possibly do something as equally wicked as that grin on his face.

"I've spent a lot of time relaxing really, reading and other things. Whilst also making sure the apartment was nice and goinh out to get some things for you, like the red underwear I said I would show you today."

Okay that was so unfair, and she found herself glaring slightly at him again before she brought her hand up from the couch and shoved his shoulder playfully.

"What would you have rathered I done with my time then?"

He grinned widely at the comment about the red underwear. She should have realised that would make him ask to see her in it. The question was, whether she was willing to at the moment.

"Why don't you go and put it on now?" He asked innocently. When she shoved him, he laughed.

"I don't really mind, the question is, how would you have rather spent your time?"

"Why don't you give me one good reason why I should?"

She smiled up at him as her fingers toyed with the hem of his shirt, brushing against his stomach by accident. Well, if she could lie she would claim it was an accident. At his question she had two answers. And again she hated this truth thing.

"Either learning or working. Or with you."

Her tone and the way her fingers brushed across his skin again made it obvious what she meant.
