Who: Sirius and Robin
What: Strangers having a random drink.
When: Straight after this
Where: The Black Cat Pub
Rating: Around PG-13.

Sirius was parked outside the pub less than five minutes after agreeing to meet Robin. That was one of the advantages of having a Muggle bike charmed to within an inch of its life - speed limits meant nothing. Merlin, physics barely meant anything on that machine. He sat back to front on the saddle, dressed in a black coat, white t-shirt and freakishly tight jeans, slouched back against the handlebars and watching the people move past him. He'd only managed to turn himself and his bike back to normal in the early hours of the morning - he couldn't help but be mildly impressed with how stubborn Merlin's pranks had been. Still, it had killed a few hours.

Shaking his hair from his eyes, Sirius offered a couple of passing girls his infamous lazy grin, before his gaze drifted onto a bloke coming around the corner. That must be him. The animagus slung one leg over the saddle, bounced to his feet, and raised a hand in greeting. Perhaps it was a little odd to be inviting strangers for drinks, but he was gasping, and Robin had just happened to be the person he'd been talking to when he'd decided a beer was in order.

Hands in his pockets, Sirius loped towards the approaching man, sticking out a long-fingered hand as he reached him. "Robin, yeah?"

Effortlessly charming bloke on the motorbike, indeed, Robin thought with amusement as he rounded the corner, spotting the man in question. He certainly had a high opinion of himself. Of course, if he was to criticise anyone on that particular topic, Marian would likely have some interesting things to say about that. He'd only been changed back a few days ago, and whilst spending time with Marian following that had been good, better than, in fact, the thought of a drink was admittedly very tempting.

Not to mention, in the message she had left, Marian had made a good point. The two of them had not really gotten to know anyone here. But it wasn't exactly a normal sort of situation for them, or anyone here, really. Not to mention that this place was so vastly different from their own time. Still, amusing situations in which strangers offered to teach his wife to dance aside, Robin wasn't against getting to know more people.

Walking around in daylight without his sword or bow was something that still felt strange, but he was attempting it. He couldn't bring himself to be fully unarmed, though. He still had his dagger on his belt, though it wasn't visible under the t-shirt he was wearing untucked over his jeans. He had definitely gotten more used to modern clothing in the time he'd been here.

"That's me," he confirmed as he reached the other man, taking the hand that was offered in a hand shake.

Sirius grinned, returning the firm handshake before sticking his hands back in his pockets and nodding towards the pub. "Pint then?"

He stepped towards the door, taking long, elegant strides and letting Robin fall into step beside him. He glanced to the side, taking in the mans appearance. He had the long, lean look of someone who did a lot of running, with dark hair and a scattering of stubble. Sirius took a moment to wonder if he should let his own beard grow. Probably not. It tended to go a bit patchy. James had no problem pointing that out. Anyway, he was sure Azkaban would give enough time for facial hair growth.

Sirius stood to one side, letting Robin step into the pub before him, one arched eyebrow raising. "You liking being a bloke again? I thought the whole thing was a bloody nightmare."

"I think that's a bit of an understatement," he said as he moved in to the pub ahead of him, waiting for the other man to enter before they moved to the bar. "Marian could barely look at me. And I had to try not to look at her, because that was just making it worse," he laughed. That was putting about as vaguely as he could with a complete stranger, whilst still knowing he would understand.

"I've noticed you know quite a lot of people here," he commented. Again, that was something of an understatement. "That must help with the being brought here against our will aspect."

"Merlin, I imagine that freaked her out." Sirius grinned across at the other man as he stepped into the pub, walking into the slightly dark room, paneled in dark wood. He had been freaked out enough waking up to find a pair of breasts in his bed. Ones that were attached to him. If he'd had a partner in the bed with him who had randomly changed genders, it couldn't have been any better. Still, he grinned knowingly at Robin's second comment, hoisting one arched eyebrow and leading the way to the bar.

He shrugged, leaning over the wooden surface, hooking one combat boot around the other and shaking dark hair from his face. Sirius was the kind of person who everyone knew, who didn't feel comfortable without a huge network of people around him. Still, there were only a few who really knew almost everything about him. And only James who knew every last detail. Even the most unpleasant things.

"I only know a few from home," he told Robin, waving the barman over. "James and Remus... My cousin and godson - Only they were children there. Then the rest are their children and grandchildren. Then I met a few people here." He shifted a little, turning to meet his new companions gaze curiously. "You two got anyone else here from home?"

That was a fairly adequate description of Marian's reaction, really. "I woke up first, which I consider a blessing. She thought someone had come in to the room and...I don't know, done something to me," his tone was vaguely amused, able to see the humour in it all, now that it was over. "She kept asking me what I had done with me." Which in itself was a hilarious thing to be saying, but that's what this place tended to inspire.

"I have to ask. 'Merlin'?" Merlin was a wizard from the stories of King Arthur, and Camelot, that Thornton had told him as a boy. And they were all here now, he had spoken to Arthur himself, which still amazed him. But Sirius had used it as an exclamation of surprise.

"Not anymore, it's just the two of us," he said as he leaned against the edge of the bar. "There was a girl here, Meg, who helped us when we arrived. She was from our future, where apparently I saved her life. There was also Gisborne, who I was not sorry to see the back of, I have to say." His dislike of the man was obvious in the way he said it. The absence of a most hated enemy was not something he was at all bothered by. He and Marian had both suffered more than enough at his hands without it continuing here.
