Morgana had felt it tingling in the back of her head since late night Saturday but when by Monday the feeling hadn't worsened she had believed that perhaps luck would be on her side. She should have know better. By Tuesday afternoon, amid all the laughing and shopping excursions, the tingling had migrated it's way to a slight scratching burn on the back of her throat. Nothing major. She had taken her medication. She had the necessary vaccinations of this time -- for the most part. She had gone to sleep early, taken it as slow as she could yesterday, and drunk a lot of water to help the feeling pass. It had seemed to momentarily, only to attack her with a warm, suppressing feeling that very morning.
Morgana had taken her temperature. Not high enough for what was the designated temperature for a fever - she had looked it up that time Merlin had a sore throat - but higher than was normal body temperature. She had gotten her way to the store - very adapted to her new independence ... not that it was unusual for her to take care of herself as much as she could, she never made a big fuss when she was sick. Everyone else did - gotten the appropriate medication. Warmed up a can of Pregresso and plopped herself amid tissues (wicker basket near-by) and her sleeping attire. No one had been told. Merlin was out having coffee. Gwen was pregnant. And Arthur was a complete and utter nightmare whenever someone he cared for was sick, recovering from kidnapping/near-death/or in Gwen's case actual death. It was best to avoid for people who didn't have Gwen's patience.
Morgana could tolerate staying in bed and she could tolerate being fussed on. However, Gwen clucked and Arthur was bordering on unbearable. Besides, it was just a sore throat and a cold. Nothing to worry them about and so long as she kept updated on the network, no one would be the wiser.
Or so she thought.
